Good hotel but very slow internet
Duke Don 26/05/2017 19:14The hotel room was nice, big enough and clean, located in the center of the old city, but the internet speed was disappointing! Come on, it's 2017, who lives without internet? You should really do something about that!
Friendly staff; lovely neighborhood
Paul Fon 24/10/2016 05:31My group stayed here at the recommendation of a friend. This is my first time in Germany so I didn't know what to expect. I used Trip Advisor to book which was an easy enough process. I originally booked six rooms but was able to change it to five via email; although I received no reply the message did go thru. The town is quaint as you would expect with some good local places to eat and the people seemed friendly. The hotel offers small yet clean well kept rooms at a fair rate. Breakfast starts at 0630 and checkout is by noon. The bathrooms are clean and showers had clean hot water. The beds aren't overly apportioned yet are full size and comfortable. Two pillows and a comforter are all you get. I left my window open to allow some cool fresh air in. Never was cold. This neighborhood is super quiet. I didn't hear even the bark of a dog. Overall I'm happy with this place and could see myself staying here again if the need arises.
Set in the Church Square under the trees
JBMartiniguyon 18/07/2016 07:12Rothenburg itself is a medieval city worth visiting. Very touristy but historically intact making it one of the better destinations on the Romantic Road.
Arvena offers both inside and outside dining and when the weather is good, the choice is obvious, OUTSIDE !!
The menu is German and also includes a number of flammkuchen (think very thin crust pizza) selections which are also typical For THE region
On the two occasions we ate there, we heard the music and choirs from the churches on either side adding to that historic feel.
The service was exceptional which is not always the case in tourist areas.
One last note, especially for my American friends. You Don't wait to be seated, if table is open you go and seat yourself. And if you are 2 people at a table that seats 4 or more, don't be surprised if someone asks to join when it gets busy.
Trip to Germany
Amy Con 03/06/2016 21:11This was my second time to stay at the Arvena R. Hotel. Such a joy! Even better than 3 years ago. Spacious rooms and the Staff - Wow - they are so easy to work with and available to all your needs. We ate every breakfast in the dining room each morning and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and multitude. Service there is also spot on. Will continue to stay when I am visiting Bad Windsheim.
Feel at home with Bayern style hospitality
EuroKoron 08/02/2016 16:18The hotel is located deep inside a small town named Bad Windsheim. This is far from the mass tourism but more for individual guests and families. Staying one night at a typical Bayern style home made me completely relaxed.
What is interesting, the next building to this hotel was the background of Rapunzel story.
