Lovely place to stay
KathleenMurphy1974on 17/08/2017 17:05Although it's very high up, Astra Village is a lovely place for your stay in Pythogorio! We stayed in an apartment and it was very big with lots of storage space. The balcony was huge and we had a spectacular view-well worth the hike up!! The owner is lovely and helpful and the housekeeping staff was excellent. Highly recommend 👌😁
Its have great view of phytagorion beach
Mutiara Aon 17/08/2016 20:46Its a nice place, and it have a great view from the balcony but you have to be fit to stay there because its on top of the hill, but also if you are not fit you will become fit!
About the room, its has kitchen, its has bathroom but our bathrooms door was broken. its not a big problem, the problem for me is that the bed was hard.
The good things is that the owner is nice. And the hotel have a great view.
Beautiful sea view
MK_TK_98on 04/09/2015 19:58We stayed at Astra Village Apartments for a week in August 2015. Astra Village is in the hills above Pythagora town, the walk up in the heat can be hard for people with poor health. That´s why hotel is not recommended for people with reduced mobility. We knew that, so it was not a problem for us. Walking everyday to the hills and down was actually just a good exercise.
Our room was nice and clean, it had the basic kitchen necessities. We had a wonderful sea view (costs extra to get a sea view) and very small balcony, just one table and two chairs fit in (and barely two people). Bathroom also is small, shower curtain stucked you every time while you are taking the shower, yuck…) and water pressure was very low all the time.
Cleaning was ok, but towels were changed only once during the week. There was a note in the room, that said ”please do not throw bath towels to the floor, they are changed daily anyway” – well not in our time.
Sleeping quality was a quite poor, because of the hard and unpleasant mattresses. There was no mattress pad or cover, so the strings (that you could see under the sheet pointing out) were sticking out and painfully pressed back while you tried to sleep.
Overall we were satisfied with the Astra Village and its location, best thing was the amazing sea view. We´d say accommodation was good value for the money in “Greek standard”.
Homey feeling- spacious rooms
Lilly Mon 25/08/2015 21:57Great hospitality, excellent view, homemade breakfast, wifi free of charge, big enough bedroom. Housekeeping and service great. The owner Mrs. Maria is a friendly character and the hotel has a homey feeling. I would definetely visit again!
Beautiful view, worth the walk up the hill.
Sari Lon 22/07/2015 07:53My husband and I stayed at Astra Village for a week in July 2015. We had a studio apartment with a wonderful sea view. The walk up the hill was challenging, but the views compensated well for it.
The studio apartment was pretty basic, but very clean and quiet. Our balcony was really tiny - just big enough for a small table and two chairs. The view was beautiful though. The air-conditioning worked well. The bathroom was very small, trying to take a shower without making the whole bathroom floor wet was just doable but a challenge.
Wi-fi was free of charge and worked well in our apartment (#22), which was close to the reception (above it).
Not all the apartments have sea views, so it's worth paying extra for the view.
All-in-all we were satisfied with the hotel and its location; for this size hotel, it is very good. The walk up the hill was great from exercise point of view, even though it was a bit overwhelming at times in the heat.
