Good place for a short business trip

The hotel is very small, which of course has certain advantages. Also the location is good. If you visit SAP Germany and want to avoid Heidelberg for some reason, it is definitely a very good alternative. You can get there either by a shuttle that the hotel is offering - or just on feet. It will take you ca 20 minutes to walk to SAP premises.

My room (603) was located on the first floor (same floor as the reception) and was facing the road. Despite that I did not notice any extraordinary noises, good sleeping quality. Nothing wrong with the room, it was good enough for my purpose and free first filling of the mini-bar (coke, water, applejuice) is an advantage for sure. The only negative feedback I have is about WLAN. They did not get it working during my whole stay (3 days). For a business traveller, it is an issue.

Breakfast was good, I cannot think of any particular item I left missing. Perhaps the ladies could serve coffee more actively. We just had to "steal" a pot from the other table as our one was too small for 2 people.

The fitness center is located in the ground floor. It has one treadmill (which they ask you not to use before 7 am) and a stepping device. There's also equipment for weight lifting. I used the treadmill once and on the second day just went jogging outside. It was quite nice on a chilly morning.

Regarding the neighbourhood - it is pretty quiet. If you look for a good restaurant, I'd recommend to just walk down the road towards the Aqua park (if you leave the hotel, turn left). There's a nice Italian restaurant called Tournedo just a few hundred meters away.

Note that the reception is opened only between 6 am and 11 pm, so if you go out and return late, you need a key to enter the main door. Not a problem though - upon the check-in you get 3 keys: one key to your room, another one to the safe and third one to the main door.

As someone who has rarely ever seen a hotel from the inside, this was a great weekend! I stayed here for 2 nights and had a great great time. The room was so spacious, there was a little fridge filled with drinks, a properly sized desk and comfortable chair to work on, MORE than enough sockets for charging devices, a big bed and a beautiful bathroom. I absolutely loved every minute of my stay. Towels were also very comfortable and were replaced daily.

I guess it's the smile - I'm really not sure. But it's very clear that people at the hotel really cared about offering the best possible service. It's an intrinsic quality, that perhaps they take for granted. Arguably the hotel is small (no problem) and the rooms could be modernized, although they are comfortable and well furnished. But the difference is most times the human touch and in this small business hotel it's a very nice one.

We have been here for 1 night. Nice people in this small hotel. Downstairs you can find the sauna and fitness. The breakfast was good. Many things to choose. You have the possibility to have pizza for dinner, no fresh one!

Pleasantly surprised

Normally stayed in the Leonardo when sleeping in Waldorf and was rather suspicious when I had to check in here due to the other hotel being sold out. However the hotel is great (even though the lavender room with the water bed is a bit irritating). Staff is absolutely great and extremely helpful. The room offers anything you need and even Sky TV (much better than the other hotels in Wdf) and they have a cute, little bar on the ground floor. Breakfast is fresh and amazing. Best part is the location though- five minutes drive to SAP (they even offer a shuttle service) and five minutes walk to the city centre with all its restaurants. Best place to sty in Wdf
