Little Gem
Fiona Bon 28/07/2017 11:21Spent 4 nights here before departing on a 1 week gullet boat cruise and loved it! Although the hotel decor is a bit dated and the shower could probably be improved the beds are comfortable, the hotel was spotless and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Best of all though was the location. Right on the quiet side of the marina... turn left the beach (shingle).... turn right the old town with its abundance of tavernas, bars and typically old town Greek charm. Didn't really use pool area so can't comment but it always looked busy and in the sun. Would I recommend? Absolutely!
Location was the best
angela con 11/07/2017 19:39Had a great 2 weeks in Kos based at this hotel. Staff were lovely and friendly. The location could not have been better right on the harbour in Kos Town we loved watching the boats come in. There is a bus stop right across the road for those adventurous enough to travel the island by public transport. We stayed in room 222 and it was perfect for us. Had a fridge for our water( and beers) kettle and cups. Small balcony that got the sun until late overlooking the pool. Katerina at the pool bar was a lovely lady and the resident tortoises were a huge hit with my husband. We liked this hotel so much we are planning to stay there next year.
Wonderful
Andy Fon 10/07/2017 21:11Been there 4 years on the trot and it's been as perfect as usual.
Nice people always happy to help and especially Alex on the front desk who was always happy to see our baby boy "Me Carter" can't wait till next year.
Thanks

Sweetest hotel with the best pool
hobbitsharkon 05/07/2017 23:53Had a really pleasant stay here, the pool is perfect, the rooms are a bit old but still in pretty good condition. (Could take away some of the furniture) but all this is nothing compare to the amazing staff. The two guys in the reception, yay you! Good service, always a smile and so helpful with anything you might need. Really impressed. The woman in the bar is also very nice and so are the cleaning lady we met. Would definitely go back and also recommend anyone to stay here.
Home from home!
Cymro32on 17/06/2017 21:08Arrived around 1.30 a.m. at the hotel after a gruelling 16 hour journey from Wales. Received the usual warm welcome from Adam, the night-shift receptionist, who had ensured that we were allocated the rooms we had asked for. Got up the following morning to receive an equally warm, genuine welcome from Costas, the morning shift receptionist, and from Katerina, the lovely pool-bar attendant. The restaurant was short-staffed during the first week, and hard-working Katerina had to take on extra duties there. The food was the usual basic breakfast we have become used to over the years, nothing special, but o.k. The rooms were comfortable, and very clean, as was the rest of the hotel and pool and bar area. The hotel is a bit dated and needs a lot of money to modernise it, but suits us fine, thanks to the friendly attitude of the excellent staff there. William, the other receptionist was also very efficient, and nothing too much trouble for him, like the rest of the staff. Hope the Greek economy improves soon, so that hotels like the Astron can carry out necessary improvements, an offer us even better accommodation. Hope to return again to the friendliest and best located hotel in Kos Town. Thank you all for your wonderful welcome again this year.
