Great place to stay

Great place
doriseon 16/10/2016 18:38Stayed for 5 nights. Ground floor room. Well furnished and very clean. Secure parking at back of property. Situated on a quiet street. Very useful having a microwave and fridge and place to eat your own food. Proprietors are extremely helpful, polite and welcoming. A great place to stay at a very reasonable rate. I will certainly use again. Dog friendly which is just great and proprietors have a really friendly, lovely dog.

The welcome was a bit on the weird side not and was a good 15 mins before we were shown our room no offer of a cup of tea on arrival.
Room and bed comfort were OK except for a pink spotted sock left in the bottom of the wardrobe dust on wardrobe door on all ledges picture frames room not cleaned properly.
Shower was poor with little pressure.
Breakfast was OK except for or over cooked eggs and horrible mushrooms, was not impressed with the owner allowing the dog to be in the kitchen whilst cooking going on and then allowing it into the dining room where it true to eat toast from guests table.
Quiet location, nice people
Paul Ton 29/02/2016 17:04I stayed just for one night so booked (what I thought was) bed & breakfast for a standard single room. However, Expedia only booked the room, so breakfast was extra, but well worth it. This is a lovely large old Victorian house in a quiet suburb 3 miles or so from the City Centre. I was upgraded to an en-suite, which was nice. The room was in what was originally the attic. Small, but perfectly formed. TV & tea/coffee was welcome. Bed was comfortable. Oddly, the overflow on the sink was set too low so it wasn't possible to fill it more than 1/2 full. Although the heating was working well, it was still chilly both in the bed, and breakfast, rooms. Nice people, helpful and chatty. Parking both at the rear and on-street. Several places to eat within a few minutes walk.
Amazing stay in Birmingham
charliestarkon 13/12/2015 10:24Our room was a great size with an en suite and had everything we needed; suited our needs perfectly. The location is between the NEC and Birmingham town centre so was hande to get to both places, again exactly what we needed. The owners are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. One last thing...quite possibly the best full English I have ever had!
