Fabulous 2star

carly fon 21/08/2017 09:46

For a 2star accommodation complex i have been very surprised. I previously stayed here in 2015 and i was cautious about this return visit. In honesty i only booked as the prefered place was booked up. Im so glad it was booked out as the renovations and improvements they have done are brilliant. Brand new pool bar and small upgrades to apartments(clean paint, new light fittings, large towels, bigger mugs, new appliances, nee windows and doors)make a huge difference.
We have apt facing the main pool. It is spotlessley clean. Havent had any cockroaches(keep it clean and you won't get them as in food crumbs cleaned up) no complaints what so ever. Yes im sure if you were picky and wanted to spend time on your holiday looking for things like bumps in plaster or dated patterend sofa covers youd find fault but im here to enjoy myself.receptionist was very welcoming and so are all the pool bar staff. Cleaners are constantly on the go and the pool os cleaned every morning. Sunbeds are opened at 10am however there are loads of sunbeds and loads of space there is no reserving here and even when people so there is still buckets of space. Some light evening entertainment is great for the kids. There was a magician last night and we was very very good. For a 2star complex its fab!! Wouldnt hesitate to recommend or to return. Clean, safe and close to everything.

Good for the money

Just arrived home after a week with my wife in Las Lomas. It was fine for a cheap week away. Grounds are all very clean. Nice swimming pools, 4 to choose from. Danny the entertainer/barman was very friendly and kids there seemed to like him.
It has a pool bar and another pool and snack bar which sells nice enough food.
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the first floor 232 right on the pool. It was clean but dated and had all we needed. Towels and bedding got changed twice while we were there. Just BE CAREFUL both me and my wife both fell in the bath while taking a shower. Theres a rail there and it worth using.
Complex is a 2 minute walk to shops bars etc. and the beach.
I was paying 1.25 € a pint until 6pm every day the 2€ after.
We are definitely going back soon

Could be perfect, just needs management to make some changes

In terms of the facilities and location this place is pretty perfect.

It has 4 well maintained pools with separate depth sections for each age and ability. A pool bar and café at each level, more sunbeds than guests it seems, meaning you won't go short, even though the "no reserving sunbeds" rule is largely ignored.
The apartments are clean and reasonably well equipped, the kitchen has the usual limited facilities you find everywhere. The only gripe with the kitchen is that one plug socket for a microwave, toaster and kettle isn't enough but a minor issue really.

As for the location, it is 100m from the beach and all the seafront cafes, bars and shops, a short walk from the Old Town and harbour, which has even better restaurants IMO. There is a supermarket next door and others a short walk away, and bus regular bus services along the seafront, again a 100m walk away.

So, pretty perfect it seems.

However, the place has a small problem, the guests. When you check in you are given a map showing where your apartment is, on the back are the rules of staying at the complex, they include the rules about using the sunbeds as well as swimming pool times etc. Also they say there should be no unnecessary noise after midnight.
Pretty much every night we had to call the 24 hour reception to complain about inconsiderate guests, adults and children. Issues ranged from them partying outside the apartments, or just gathering loudly, or playing on the pool table outside our apartment, which was the noisiest pool table on the planet.
One evening, we arrived back from town to find some of the kids who used to hang about in the unlit alleyway between the apartments behind our bedroom, had tipped a bottle of Fanta on our bed through the window then threw the bottle in after.
There were even some kids playing shinty (did I mention most of the guests were Irish/Northern Irish) outside at half past midnight.

The staff and management just don't seem to have a strategy for dealing with these issues, ok, so they would usually deal with each individual issue after a few phone calls but they didn't have any preventative measures in place, nor seem willing to put any in place to save us having to complain in the first place (like removing the pool queues before midnight, or having a large sign in reception telling late night returnees to be quiet). We raised the issues directly with the most senior person available (The booking supervisor, apparently the manager was on holiday or something) but they didn't really seem to have any answers other than they would note it down and let the manager know.

If they could sort out the guests I would go back 100%, if not then I definitely would not. The location and facilities can't really compensate for being woken up at 12:30 every night by the loud clacking of pool balls or drunken parents kicking a football about with their unruly kids.

needs whole new revamp

the only 2 good things or maybe 3 is the young oriental lad at breakfast was very friendly and kind, the other guy who was really nice right from the start was valentin! he is now on holiday himself for a month but what a lovely man and as for the other older guy on reception absolutely useless to say the least he was very very unfriendly!!! then the pools were nice but i am afraid to say thats all because the room was dirty never changed the sheets proper just tidy them up to make it look like they had changed them and the room was like a dungeon, sink was always blocked the list is endless, wont ever be staying here again thats for sure. to be honest couldnt wait to get home.

I love Atlantis las lomas

I have been to these apartments a few time now and never had any problems or faults with the staff or apartments , the location is at the top of a quite steep hill however my favourite smooy shop is at the bottom and gives me great joy lol, the Chinese at the bottom is also very nice and you can take away , I love lanzarote and pdc, I will be returning very soon .
