What People are saying

A very bad hotel experience

560hgpon 03/05/2017 10:42

Dirty rooms, big ants nest in one of the rooms, dirty toilets and douches.
We were called at 15.00 hours to say that arrival was only possible after 18.00 hours.... And arrived at a closed hotel at 15:30.
The restaurant is mediocre. Our main dish was prepared in advance and re-heated in the micro-wave as the waiter confirmed.
The bill was wrong. Charging to much for the wine and food. No bill on paper, they promised to send an email with the bill attached: never received one!
The boss never showed his face, although he was in the hotel. The staff was very inexperienced.

Quaint Little Restaurant

We did not stay at the hotel but we did have a delicious evening meal there. The ambiance was very good and the owner made it a point to great all the guests. The quality of food was excellent. We thought the plates were very well presented and the quantity was larger than expected. We really enjoyed our experience.

Charming French Countryside Experience

We were delighted by our visit to this truly beautiful hamlet in rural France. The service at L'Aubergue de la Source was welcoming, courteous and friendly. The quality of the food for dinner and breakfast was superb. My daughter, who is gluten intolerant, was well-catered for. Nothing was a problem.
The charming accomodation, just down the road, was spacious and comfortable - like being in your own home. Everything was done to make our stay enjoyable, including suggesting and arranging visits of interest in the local area which specialises in Brie cheese and Champagne. Hard not to enjoy!
We thoroughly recommend this magic spot...you won't be disappointed.

Charming descreet luxury

An absolutely delightful one night stay for our final evening in France.

This is a charming little hotel in a nice quiet village. It was a little confusing to find, but once you're there it is so pleasant !The staff was very nice and helpful as well. Our room was utterly charming.

We opted for half board which came with dinner, and this was excellent. There is free wi-fi but hardly any mobile signal…
I defy anyone not to enjoy this hotel

A disappointment

This hotel was recommended to us by a friend as we needed a hotel to stay on our final night in the Champagne area as our regular stop-over was closed on that night. As we later discovered, the friend stayed here some years ago when clearly the hotel was a more attractive option. The staff were very friendly but the hotel itself appeared tired.

The bedroom was large, airy and very comfortable but the bathroom had several issues. The toilet flushed continuously, the washbasin tap was loose and the shower door would not stop water escaping. The evening dinner was expensive and pleasant enough and we enjoyed a superb bottle of Château-Thierry champagne. The waiter was extremely courteous and friendly.

The breakfast however was a complete rip-off. We do not complain about the high price of breakfasts when they comprises high quality ingredients. The one we experienced here was sparse, the fruit was overripe and the plate of cheese and ham was left on the meagre buffet table uncovered and assailed by flies.

We shall not be passing on the recommendation.
