Wonderful stay, wonderful hosts
Kim Jon 02/03/2017 23:53We were passing through Stowe...ok, not exactly passing through since it was a bit out of our way but we loved Stowe on a previous visit and it was easy to make an excuse to stop by. The Auberge de Stowe is not pretentious, there are plenty of luxurious accommodations in Stowe if that is what you are looking for, but it is clean, affordable, and comfortable. Shawn and Chantal are welcoming and kind. We wish we had carved out a longer visit there but vowed that, when in Stowe, their delightful inn is where we will stay.
Little winter get away.
Rosangel Mon 04/02/2017 22:30The place was nice and clean. Very cozy place where you get to rest and relax. The hostess were really nice people. Breakfast was included and I gotta said that it was very tasty and energetic. The jam offered was homemade and I had never tasted something like it. The place is well located near to everything. I will definitely recommend it again.
Good value in Stowe
MayaH47on 13/11/2016 13:38This is not a fancy place and, while comfortable and clean, seemed a little shabby. We were the only ones in residence during our stay and found our host couple helpful and very nice.
Auberge is on Route 100 and the traffic noise went on into the night. I had read some reviews and picked a room in the back, but it was angled so that we had car lights. Coming from a place that is extremely quiet, even during the day, this was a little disconcerting.
We had a substantial breakfast and great conversation with Shawn and Chantal - the best part of our stay.
Loving the mountains!

No matter which direction you were headed they were able to give you must see suggestions! Delicious breakfast, thank you for your hospitality! Would stay here again.
Hiking and Local Breweries Weekend
Mike Bon 09/09/2016 00:21We arrived Labor Day weekend with ideas of hiking and visiting local breweries. Shawn and Chantal were extremely nice and knowledge with places to check out and the ins and outs of each hike we were planning...clean room...no fridge in room but there is a small one in the common area to store drinks/snacks if need be...we really enjoyed the egg bake Monday morning...Overall really nice, quiet, clean place to stay for a few days. Will definitely stay again when in the area.
