on 04/05/2017 16:17Bottom line: We (2 adults/2 children) will never stay at this hotel again, and I strongly suggest against it, for several reasons. Newly renovated 31 room sole proprietorship hotel and opened for only 1 month, as Apr 1, 2017. Much to sort out to include hot water heater and WIFI access.
Regretfully spent 2 nights. First night, although the room & bath was newly renovated and very well done, the room was very-very tiny for the price ($99 w/o breakfast), compared to Ibis Hotel on the train station (approx same price including a complete breakfast w/ egg, meats, cheese, breads, juice, cappuccino machine). Second night we upgraded to a larger room for added $10 w/ breakfast included. The breakfast is nothing to talk about, although they have a nice coffee machine. PROBLEM: Hot bath water was not working the night prior, nor in the morning. At check-out, I asked other guests and no one else had hot water as well.
We spent the 2nd day walking around Disney Paris, in the rain w/o having a morning bath. Not feeling refreshed. The plan was to drive 5 hrs to Frankfurt after Disney, but we felt exhausted and sticky from the day. Drove 10 mins back to the hotel around 9pm, to ask for a complimentary room, since the water heater was out that morning.
Once at the hotel we explained to the owner/operator (Mr. Didier Leopold) that we were very disappointed about the no hot water situation in the morning and requested a comp room for the night. He said the water heater was just reset a few hours ago and there may not be hot water for another 3-4 hrs (after 1am). He offered us a rate of 75 euro w/o breakfast, under the circumstances. I said, "you still have no hot water and you want 75 euro?" I was adamant about a comp room. He wouldn't budge by even 1 euro. I was absolutely appalled. He could have asked for enough just to cover maid service, considering the 4 of us hadn't showered since the morning of the day prior. I voiced my disappointment in his lack of professionalism and understanding customer service. We've stayed at plenty hotels in France. These issues had nothing to do with the owner being French. Just no sense of customer service!
