The hotel is located at the gates of Chateau Chantilly so it is in a convenient but quite location; beautiful landscapes and views for walking or taking a bike ride

Karen Con 07/07/2017 15:36Three years ago our travel planner suggested that we end our three week trip to France at Auberge du Jeu de Paume in Chantilly just outside of Paris. It could not have been more perfect. This is an elegant hotel that offers personal attention unlike a large corporate hotel. You feel as though you you are a guest in an elegant mansion with beautiful furniture and linens with Hermes toiletries. On Sunday we ended a two week tour of Israel that had us on the move non-stop getting on and off a tour bus. We arrived in Paris at 6 am and Auberge was able to accommodate our early arrival with an upgrade to a suite. After being up for over 24 hours we welcomed the opportunity to sleep in the luxurious bedroom and then have a delicious breakfast. The spa is elegant. After 24 hours at Auberge, we were refreshed and ready for our 11 hour flight home. We will return. It is absolutely perfect!
Wonderful hotel in wonderful location
TheTonyTravelleron 07/07/2017 10:59Just on the edge of the town of Chantilly about 30 miles from Paris, lies the famous race course, stables and chateau. Just within the town and almost opposite the stables is the hotel. A beautiful building in the style of the estate - you might be forgiven for thinking within the park and estate from the website - but in fact on the edge and overlooking the separate parks and gardens. Complimentary tickets to the stables, horse museum, chateau and gardens is included in the room price.
Met at the door, car unloaded and parked for us (€12 per day). Room overlooking the park (but with no immediate access) was good. The bathroom a little small with shower over the bath. Relais and Chateaux own brand toiletries. Tea and coffee available in the room although coffee was surprisingly only Nescafe. Minibar with complimentary water and soft drinks.
Breakfast in the French style so no decent muesli! When the restaurant holds a Michelin star why treat breakfast differently? Pre cooked and keeping warm sausage, bacon and big pots of pre-cooked scrambled egg.
The hotel has a bistro and a gastronomic restaurant (see separate review). Charming staff at all times.
We had a dinner B & B package.
