Excellent hotel
IrelandMariaGon 06/08/2017 17:13This was our third time staying here and again it did not disappoint. The room was big, comfortable and nicely- furnished. The air-con was much- needed and worked well. There was a lovely, big shower with the toilet in a separate room. The restaurant in this hotel is outstanding! The food is mouth-watering and of such a high quality. I would imagine the chef must have won some awards for his food as it is truly outstanding, creative and so well- presented. Stephanie completes the picture with her warmth and cheery personality. We always prefer to communicate in French but she helps quickly and easily if we struggle with the menu. The breakfast is very good and is completely self-service. We love this little town and its authenticity. When visiting Cucugnan, this hotel is hard to beat for quality and value. We will return.
Excellent country auberge with traditional cooking
PJW22on 26/07/2017 19:37Set in the middle of the small hilltop village of Cucugnan, this small Logis de France is a good base for visiting the Cathar castles. We spent three nights in room one which was clean, modern with a good shower room. Equipment included a kettle and a hairdryer. There was adequate space to sit. The air-conditioning and Wi-Fi worked well. The real highlight of a stay is the excellent food at dinner with a strong emphasis on traditional recipes. I enjoyed a very good lobster and an interesting and delicious pie filled with guinea fowl, cabbage and bacon in a morel mushroom sauce. There is a good selection of the excellent local Minervois wines. Service is very friendly and efficient. Prices are very reasonable with rooms under 100 euros and the set dinner at 26 euros although a la carte is more. Parking is free. Breakfast is pretty basic and self-service.

Perfect in every way
tubs168on 10/07/2017 15:30We only stayed one night here but easily could have stayed longer. We were warmly greeted by Stephanie, a very efficient hostess/waitress/receptionist and generally nice person.
This is a delightful small Logis with only 5 bedrooms. Our huge room (no. 1) was extremely well thought out and had everything one could want, an enormous shower fully equipped with toiletries, fluffy towels and an efficient hairdryer. There was plenty of storage space as well as tea and coffee facilities. Dinner was included in our demi-pension and the food was exceptional, eaten on a beautiful terrace overlooking the local countryside. Breakfast was a serve yourself buffet with everything provided. We would certainly stay in this pretty village again and would not hesitate to stay in this hotel for longer.

Prefaboyon 31/10/2016 19:40Excellent value, B&B and dinner, highly recommended. Food great staff wonderful. Room well equipped, clean and modern. Breakfast splendid. Staff especially attentive. Would recommend as a good base for touring.
