Beautiful Gardens
Luciion 04/08/2016 17:33The hotel is surrounded by lovely gardens on one side and paddocks of farm animals on the other. We had a good room with its own small garden and tiny kitchen. There is no bar which is a drawback. The dining room was very pleasant but the food seemed to be dated and not special in any way.
Overall experience was outstanding!
pbru54on 18/07/2016 21:39The hotel has a great location, just outside the town of Pornic and within 200 metres of a beach where I swam. It has its own vegetable and fruit garden and its own vines - the fruits of which are served in the restaurant. There is also a small farm that keeps local breeds of poultry, sheep and goats. The restaurant is a beautiful room, the food is excellent local produce, prepared and served by top professionals. I was particularly happy to see that, although the hotel is (architecturally) a traditional large farmhouse, it has very high environmental standards. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in this year. It was a total pleasure to be there.
Dissapointing Room
britabroadUkon 05/10/2015 15:52Our room was small and not great value for money. The décor was badly in need to maintenance/upgrade.
The place itself is great with easy access to the coast line and beach, plus the extensive veg gardens and vineyard.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food in he restaurant was good and service was good despite being very busy.
A Quaint Hotel and a food lovers delight
FussyFillyon 07/01/2015 20:44We stayed here with a 2 year who could roam freely around the beautiful enclosed kitchen garden and hired the bikes from reception taking the nearby cycle trail into pornic. My memories of this Hotel/Apartment experience are extremely positive, the nearby beach clean and accessed by a hill walk with steps. The most pleasure we gained from out stay was our meals, never wanting breakfast to end with copious amounts of local Breton produce, and the set menu for dinner was sumptuous fish meat and all home grown vegetables were faultless, this is a truly unique experience.

924RickDon 09/09/2014 15:22My wife and I spent a week at Residence La Fontaine Aux Bretons and loved every minute of it. The hotel and its extremely spacious grounds are set in view of the sea with easy access to trails along a very scenic coast. The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful, and the facilities very comfortable. The rooms are small, as was our balcony, but certainly adequate. The restaurant was excellent and, of course, very convenient. There is easy access from the hotel to both the Loire-Atlantic and the Brittany areas and coasts. And both the extensive gardens and farm are wonderful additions. For a relaxing holiday, this hotel would really be hard to beat.
