typical provincial french hotel
Stephen Son 29/05/2014 21:37After travelling all day in the sunshine this rustic auberge was a welcoming haven and we were pleased to enjoy chilled Chablis on the terrace with savoury profiteroles (I'd never heard of them either) that came with it.
The overall feel of the place was like off the set of Birdsong, the room was comfortable and a good size overlooking the woods at the rear of the property, so although the building is alongside the road we had a peaceful night's sleep.
Our meal, we went for the discovery menu, was cooked with care, imagination and raspberries - the chef is obviously a fan of them!
And finally would I stay again? yes I'd look forward to it.

jeanssison 25/04/2013 22:11We were pleasantly surprised on arriving at this hotel, to find a very attractive property in a beautiful setting. The parking was off road and our room overlooked this area and the tranquil gardens that seemed to go as far as one could see. The room itself was spacious, comfortable and clean and a big plus was a coffee machine with tea & coffee with two cups sitting on a side table!
We enjoyed a pleasant pre dinner drink on the terrace - where there is a very reasonable bistro menu available. However we opted to dine in the restaurant having read some complimentary reviews and we were not disappointed!! excellent wine & superb food with a good choice of menu's
Will definitely visit this hotel again and would certainly recommend it to others
