What People are saying

Superb B&B

Maria Hon 15/08/2017 13:09

This was my favorite on our one week road trip in California. We stayed for one night in room Vouvray, and it was just perfect. We also loved the view, and of course the breakfast. The only bad thing was that we weren't able to stay longer. I would definitely return!

Wonderful stay

Went to Sonoma County for first time, thought Cloverdale may be a little too far north, but this B&B shattered that. Comfortable room, absolutely delicious breakfast, interesting other guests at breakfast. Only regret was not spending time in Cloverdale, which we did the last night after attending the community theatre production.

Charming, Peaceful and Satisfying

A Victorian House with a veranda, period furniture, comfortable rooms, even more comfortable beds and a breakfast to die for!

It's a cluster of three buildings. I think guests stay in two of them and staff in the third, I think. We stayed in the main house and were besotted by the arrangements, the décor, the comfort and the charm. It isn't exotic, nor is it perfect but it has the feeling of a vintage Rolls Royce - it may cough and splutter a bit but, whatever happens, you're going to enjoy the comfort.

You will also enjoy the breakfast which seems to be 'World Famous'. It certainly deserves to be. Sourced locally, the sausages, bacon, eggs, soufflés etc. are substantial, beautifully prepared and wonderful to taste. Worth staying here if only for the breakfast.

Worth staying also for the location at the edge of agricultural land which you can sit on the balcony and view. Alternatively you can get out and visit the local "Russian River" vineyards (which river is just 250 yards from the veranda). We enjoyed Francis Ford Cuppola's vineyard which is a sort of theme park museum of his films that sells wonderful wine.

Hope we visit here again!

First time in Sonoma and picked the best B&B !!

WE stayed two nights in a wonderful upstairs in building next to the main house our friends had room across from us we both loved our rooms very roomy and clean. The decks were large with beautiful vineyard views! There was frig, microwave, water, coffee and a large main living space just adjacent to our wonderful rooms. The vineyards are all over its enchanting, we have never been in this area but we always talked about going to the wine country picked the best area. Roxanne the owner/Inn keeper was an amazing person, hospitable, Chef, wine tour guide did everything to make our stay perfect. She was also very fun had a great sense of humor. The breakfast was delicious plentiful beautiful presented. We took the wine tour she offered and was very happy we did because we really had no clue where to start since there is over 600 or so wineries in the area. Roxanne is very knowledgeable on the area and wineries also places for dinner. Our favorite wineries were small ones which she took us to called Bobdog wines and Pendleton estates. We learned a lot about the wine making process learned a lot about what to look for in a good wine and tastings which we realized we knew nothing about wine. We tasted a number of wines and decided BobDog and Pendleton which were different had great wines, Tim Ward, Wine maker from bobdog and Michall from Pendleton very passionate expertise in the area for wine nice people. The wine is reasonable for the quality it is thankyou Roxanne!! We will plan to go back to Auberge on the Vineyard

A slice of heaven on the vineyard

What's more perfect than staying at a B&B in the wine region of California ...staying at Auberge! My husband and I stayed here for 3 glorious days while easily visiting the wineries in the region. We stayed in the large Vouvray Room in the carriage house.....comfortable king size bed, a/c if needed, ceiling fan, bathrobes, large screen TV and a deck overlooking the vineyard. Bathroom was spacious with all the amenities you need. Outside the bedroom is a large sitting area that can be used by the 2 other guest bedrooms. This is a bonus room with TV, coffee and tea, refrigerator with cold water and sodas, ice machine and plenty of wine glasses, games, cards and more. Gourmet breakfast is served in the main house by the fabulous Roxanne, the innkeeper. Be ready for a 5 star meal! The location is close to 101 and easy to get to wineries, Healdsburg, and of course downtown Cloverdale. Roxanne is extremely helpful with whatever you are looking for...wineries, dinner, shipping wines, etc. After a day of wine tasting and a great dinner, you get to relax in a large beautiful room with a breeze coming in from the vineyard.
