So this is a great spot. Not sure what it was before as the setup is odd. There is a middle indoor atrium area and the rooms are all the outside border of this. The rooms are not great, but the service is. The breakfast is excellent, the staff are more then helpful.

Friendly, clean and comfy

Tittle says it all really. Rooms and common areas kept very clean, no diet, bugs or mold found anywhere. Nice pool and hot tub area. Only comment for staff would be to somehow make the floor around pool non slick as it gets extremely slippery with just a drop of water.

Definitely Family Friendly

My young son and I stayed here for a baseball tournanent last week. We were there five days and I found this a great family hotel if you stay in this area. The staff are friendly, the free breakfast was good and had enough selection to satisfy everyone. There's an inside pool, there are groups of seating areas throughout the hotel; our room was clean, the air conditioner worked well, and cleaning service was consistent.

Within walking distance there are Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse and Cracker Barrel -- enough variety to choose from if you don't want to get in the car -- and there are plenty of restaurants within a mile drive.

Some things people may want to consider:

- The indoor pool is surrounded by inside rooms. Definitely not a choice for those who can't appreciate it could get noisy -- but this represents just one wing of the hotel;

- Some rooms are entered by walking outside. And while there are numerous access doors that take you inside and outside the hotel - if you'd prefer an interior room, you'd want to request that upon check-in;

- If you are a serious body builder, their workout room will not work for you - there are treadmills that held me over until I could get back to my regular facility;

- There is just one washer/dryer; bit of a challenge with numerous families vying for their turn;

- There is no elevator and while it's only two stories this may not work for some; particularly if you are disabled.

Above are things to consider before you choose this hotel but definitely a good, family friendly stay for my son and I.

Disgusting!

Do not stay at this hotel. I booked 3 rooms for my family to stay while attending a wedding. There is no elevator and we were assigned upstairs rooms, and my elderly mother in law can't climb stairs. They separated our rooms so she could stay on the first floor. (So far, OK, but not ideal.) Our other 2 rooms were accessed by walking outside, around the building and up a flight of stairs where we had to ask the smokers sitting on the stairs to move. Walking into out rooms was a disaster. The cigarette smoke smell was awful. No one even wanted to open a suitcase. The rooms were dark, and carpet nasty. We tried to think how we could make this acceptable, and quickly realized there was no way. I talked with the staff at the front desk, and they were kind enough to allow us to get out of our reservation. We found 3 rooms next door at the Holiday Inn Suites, which is amazing. I highly recommend that hotel.

Beware: this hotels has gamed the tripadvisor reviews.

First, beware that the main reason this hotel has high marks is due to deception because after you stay here, the hotel sends out a survey email and within that email is an embedded tripadvisor review. But, of course, if one indicates that they aren't going to give the hotel a nearly perfect score, then the tripadvisor.com survey disappears from the survey. So their score on this site is heavily skewed to make the hotel look really good. I've never been burned by tripadvisor reviews before but I was this time!

Anyway, here were my experiences with this hotel:

- The non-smoking room reeked of smoke.

- The pool was cloudy and Jacuzzi had yellow foam.

- The room's carpet is the kind an average person wouldn't feel comfortable walking on barefoot for even a few seconds. Even the floor of the bath tub was grey with some kind of soiled build-up.

- The window shades in the room did not block the light from outdoors.

It's not a total dive. The bed was ok, breakfast was decent, and parts of the hotel were nice. But most of the rooms open to the outdoors which has its drawbacks, especially because there were dozens of smokers loitering all around the building seemingly at all times.
