Perfect Peaceful Getaway
JBHarryon 29/07/2017 21:04In the middle of the craziness that is New Orleans we found this oasis of peace. We had been in New Orleans for a week for a conference, but decided to stay a couple of days just to unwind and relax, The Audubon Cottages where exactly what we needed. We had a single room with a semi-private courtyard which ended up being private because the other unit was vacant. You walk in out of the noise that is The French Quarter to a calm and peaceful retreat from the world. There are only 7 units, so the Cottages never felt like a crowd, and we made some great new friends in the other guests. The 24/7 French Quarter Butler staff was phenomenal. Thank you John, Neil, Maria and Cortnie, you made this trip amazing.
We can't wait to come back!

sharonburron 26/07/2017 21:14If you do not want to reside in a run-of-the-mill hotel, you have found the right place with The Audubon Cottages. Located right smack in the French Quarter, hidden behind a door, is a world of magic. Tropical plants, flowers, individual cottages, courtyards, and a beautiful salt water pool. (They say it probably is the oldest pool in New Orleans.)
We stayed in Cottage #1, two bedrooms, two full baths, living room, and an eating area with a unique refrigerator and freezer built into a beautiful cabinet. The cottage was spotless, sheets fresh, everything was delightful. The place just has good vibes. In addition, the butlers and employees of the Audubon Cottages are friendly, helpful, and likeable.
I only have two little concerns: I understand that these are historic, old cottages (James Audubon resided there) and they have been lovingly restored. Love, love, love. But, more lighting is needed...mighty dark in a couple areas. Plus, although the breakfast was scrumptious, really good, it was cold. We ate around 7:30 AM, and the scrambled eggs were cold. But, maybe this was an isolated incident. Perhaps a warming tray/light would help to keep the breakfasts warm.
We will go back in a heartbeat, though. The Audubon Cottages are special.

Tamra Jon 19/07/2017 02:44Beyond amazing from contact a day before by the butlers to entry to departure! Wonderful grounds keep, fabulous breakfast. My party and I couldn't have been more pleased. Recommending to all my friends and family! Loved it and the privacy and would definitely return many times over!

212curtishon 06/07/2017 12:56The butler service is first rate. Gloria was especially helpful, seeing to our every need. Alfred's breakfast presentation was perfect. We'll stay there again and will recommend it to our friends. Audubon Cottages adds a whole new facet to a visit to New Orleans.
A Hidden Jewel

The cottages are beautifully decorated, the landscaping lush and provides total privacy from the outside world. Most of all, the staff is outstanding! Alfred, Gloria, Courtney, Brian, Marie made us feel as though the cottages were our home. We are already planning our next visit!
