hotel avrora central
MARIANNA Son 23/10/2016 08:15We arrived at the hotel around 22:00 and we were really terrified when we saw the hotel’s front door.. An old iron door which leads to a more spooky corridor and stairs..
I will never forget the feeling..
When we entered the hotel the picture changed.
We stayed in a twin business room which was quiet spacious, clean but basic..
Staff is friendly and helpful. They speak English.
Breakfast was ok.
Wi-fi connection was bad (it didn't work after midnight).
Hotel's location is near train station and Nevski Prospect but somehow far from the city center.
Cozy place at an excellent location
iglikinon 11/07/2013 23:56This little hotel offers a very good value. Stylish, clean, perfectly located (just off Nevsky Prospekt), with a friendly and helpful staff and nice breakfast buffet, not to mention free WiFi. I got everything I was looking for during my week-long stay in St.Petersburg this summer.
Did I get the WRONG hotel.
Mark Con 05/07/2013 13:26In all my years of travelling this has got to be the WORSED hotel I have every stayed in. This is not a hotel its a HOVEL. Old ,dilapidated, unsafe and in a neighbourhood where dogs go round in pairs Id rather sleep on park bench than in this hotel. And believe me I have the pictures to prove it. I have no idea who wrote the other reviews but it must have been from a alternate universe.
Great value in St.Pete
phearless philon 21/07/2012 14:56This place is a bit hard to find, even though there's an outdoor sign. But that sign is not right in front of the big steel door which is the entrance to the building in which the hotel is located, on the first floor. When you find the door at last, you enter a dark, dingy and damp downstairs hallway which is quite a deterrent. So you drag your bags up to the first floor, press the buzzer and you're in. Once in, the picture changes. It's a cosy reception area with a friendly young person [there are several who alternate shifts] and their English is pretty good. We found them very helpful. The rooms are small, as you'd expect for the price, and the bathrooms are too, but they work well and everything is clean...thanks to the housekeeper who also does your laundry for a small fee. The same lady also serves breakfast in a pleasant room and will cook eggs for you on request, as well as porridge! This is more than you get in some more expensive hotels.
I've stayed there twice now and would recommend it if you want to save your money for the museums, tours and some fine restaurants.
Great Deal! cosy and pleasant place!
lady_bird11on 02/08/2009 17:39With my boyfriend I've stayed at Aurora hotel, St.Petersburg for 5 nights in June. We were pleased with the hotel's atmosphere, very calm at the same time central hotel. We had Double Room with big and comfy bed, the hotel interior is pretty classy. The location is rather central - few blocks from Nevsky Prospect. Vosstaniya metro station is also at hand. For the very small price, we received a spacious room, city center location and very warm treat from hotel staff. We would recommend the hotel to others!!!
