What People are saying

clean - great staff - reasonably priced!

Nasrin Aon 31/03/2017 23:58

stayed here few years ago- Nothing to complain about - other than snacks or light refreshments should be provided to hungry and tired late night travellers - food was nice - hotel not too far from beach - it was a lovely holiday with plenty to see and do in Alanya.

Nice stay in Alanya

Stayed hier few years ago .Nice ,clean hotel with very helpful staff.Fantastic food and animatie. We enjoyed our stay here and there is nothing negative to say.The hotel is cheap and is 4 stars in turkish standard.

good enough

Very recently renovated, absolutely user-friendly rooms, acceptable level of cleanliness, really good food in a wide range to suit all tastes. What we were not quite happy with was a strange guy at the reception but there was nothing really too bad. They also have their own beach with a bar (soft drinks and food in the afternoon free) which is another advantage. Besides, all Turkish bath procedures are excellent and the staff are highly qualified. All drawbacks (irritating and forceful attempts to sell various stuff you don`t really need during the excursions at crazy prices) are the travel agency`s fault and are unavoidable in Turkey.

2 star not 4

Just returned from a 10 day break at this hotel I would definitely say it is more a 2 star than 4. I would not be going back to the hotel or Alanya again. The food was fine, as mentioned by others a little repetitive but I can't complain. The rooms were very basic and dated decor. Upon arrival we had no hot water which lasted on and off for the first 3 days and continued a few other times during our holiday. Reception were not very good at sorting this out and came up with numerous excuses as to why it didn't work - but the trick seemed to be to run the tap for about 30 mins before you wanted to use it - which was an absolute pain and waste of water.

The animation team were very nice, but the entertainment was rubbish. They were never consistent with the entertainment provided and the shows were of a poor quality.

The water in the slide only ran until 11 am and then again around 3 in the afternoon, which was such ashame for the children - and a big disappointment to my boyfriend!

Other complaints would be that the maid left our room door open when she cleaned it, we asked for broken glass by the to be cleaned and no one came, a man let himself into our room twice without knocking while I was in the shower to drop in toilet rolls, our room flooded when it rained, the towels weren't always changed, the room was above the kitchen so if you sat outside there was a strong smell of fat and grease, the pool was shaded by the hotel.

Alanya itself wasn't a very nice place either - quite loud at night with lots of cheap shops all the same.

The bar staff were friendly and provided excellent service, the hotel was relatively clean, close to the beach and central.

It was a cheap holiday and the food was ok - but I would not visit there again.

Very Good Value for Price

just returned from a week at Gold Safran although I would not return to this hotel for the money we paid cant complain too much. Arrived around 1pm in the morning nowhere in the hotel to get anything to eat or drink normally when arriving somewhere late they usually have a packed snack and water ready for you. The guy on reception was really lovely very courteous the first room they took us too was absolutely terrible and we asked if we could change he told us to stay in that room for the night and they would change it in the morning. For a charge of 35tl just over £11 we changed rooms to a pool view and this was great. The food is not perfect but they do try their best just don't cater with English in mind eg: mashed potato and broccoli at breakfast, no toaster there was never much choice but we got by I wouldn't knock the hotel because of this as I said it was very cheap anyway. The hotel was very clean and the pool was immaculate cleaned out every evening. Most of the staff were very pleasant there was the odd one or two who were a bit sulky but overall no problems. The private beach was perfect as well. The shopping is a bad experience as you cant shop in peace the shopkeepers constantly harass you if you look at something they just constantly go on at you expecting you to buy one was trying to sell me a pair of shoes which were very clearly too small and he got quite rude when I said they don't fit me the shops would have had more sales from us if they had let us shop in peace. Overall not a bad holiday but I would not return to Alanya
