Christine Ton 03/08/2017 23:59Accommodation was selected by colleagues attending the same evening event hence despite the reviews it made sense for me to stay at the same location, which I did with some trepidation given the reviews I had seen.......yes the curtains do not draw properly, yes there is a nasty stain on the bathroom ceiling and yes having had to ring for further directions I found the male receptionist less than helpful! Given previous travellers claims (all of which I experienced myself) there was no way was stripping back the bed sheets to check the mattress!
However, given the location; the price paid; basic but adequate breakfast, the room was clean (let down by overall maintenance) and I would stay again.

Dollceeon 28/07/2017 03:35We do not rate this Hotel at all. The room was very small. Were told it was a big room. No air conditioning. It was very hot & had to leave the window open all the time as too hot without window being open. Breakfast was budget, & so was the dining room. TV in room sticking out & bruised my shoulder a beauty as no room walking past it. The good part was. Yes!!! it was lovely clean & very comfortable beds. Plus it wasn't far to the underground. Quiet location. Just disappointed after being around the world staying in nicer Hotels.
Helpful staff, lots of restaurants nearby, Albert Hall twenty minute walk, good value
Bill Mon 23/07/2017 15:27We stayed here for a trip to the proms at the Royal Albert Hall, we've been to other hotels in the area previously and found this to be the best so far in terms of value. The staff were very helpful, everywhere was clean, there were lots of places to eat and the Albert Hall was a twenty minute gentle walk. We had an air conditioner in our room, which was spacious and continental breakfast was included in the price. The only downside was no parking, but I got a meter space about 50 yards down the street which was good for the evening of our arrival, and although I had to move the car at 0830 the next morning I had no trouble finding another parking space. WiFi was fine
Needs some maintenance

The positives:- friendly staff and helpful, near Gloucester Road tube station.
We were in basement room 1.
2 single beds which were comfortable, but only one pillow each. Sheets clean. Towels clean fluffy. Stained blankets with someone's else's hair strands on!
The room needs maintenance and painting. Windows single glazed sash. Which was onto road outside. Noisy! Venetian blinds closed and no way to open them so no natural light in room! (Like a prison cell)! Carpet dirty in corners and coming up.
Bathroom floor tiles broken, shower handle missing on inside of shower, plug missing in sink, tap loose. The shower nice and hot.
Breakfast basic but plentiful. Coffee very strong.
We did ask to move when we arrived to a quieter room but told they were full.

Sara Aon 11/07/2017 23:58Good service, nice staff. Had some problems when I arrived due to a mistake from my agency, the staff took care of it fast and effectively. Nice sized rooms for London. The beds were comfortable and the room clean.
