Good location near many good places to eat.
Beautiful street with high trees. Love the characteristic white buildings in this street.
Small but clean rooms. We had a good view from our room on the street side.
Very friendly staff.

Good beds, nice breakfast, WiFi and super location to visit London. Nice staff. We will visit again.
Paddington Station nearby , buses around the corner to go anywhere, and there are places to have a good meal nearby.

We stayed here for a couple of nights. The location is ideal and very close to Paddington Station. The staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
The room we had was pretty small but very clean and more than adequate. There is no lift at the property but we knew that in advance.
Breakfast was very nice too - would stay here again.
Given some of the negative reviews, we were a little sceptical but given the excellent value for money and the location we were pleasantly surprised and came away thinking that perhaps some guests have unreasonable expectations.

We booked for 7 nights at this hotel on our recent stay in London. We realised it's a 2 star hotel but felt it's more of a hostel standard. On the positive side it's handy to the underground, Hyde park and walking distance to central London. The staff relocated us to a ground floor room so we didn't have to haul our big suitcases up the narrow stairs. This lower room shook and rumbled every 10 minutes from the trains. We could also hear the shower and toilets above rooms run down the pipes into our bathroom.The bathroom is extremely small but adequate. The bedroom was shabby with wallpaper peeling off the walls and the bed cushions desperately need a wash. The English breakfast was ok but the cereals were only cornflakes and coco pops, no healthier alternative such as muesli and the only fruit was melon on occasional days. The receptionist girls were friendly but our room wasn't serviced until the 4th day even though I asked a couple of times. Lesson learnt...you get what you pay for in London.

We wanted a couple of nights in Central London within walking distance of Hyde Park for a concert there. This hotel is ideally located, and we found nothing to complain about - we knew in advance that there was no lift and we would have to use the steep staircases. The Spanish receptionist was very friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were good with lots of choice, the wi-fi worked fine and, although small, the room was clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
