Two weeks of EATING OUT!!!

If you want a clean room, but with bed sheets that are not changed then HOTEL AYMES is for you......
If you want to eat Salad for breakfast and dinner, then HOTEL AYMES is for you
If you only want the choice of SALAD or ONE MAIN COURSE (generally a soup - very watery with meat/peas in it) then HOTEL AYMES is for you
And be warned - the chef stands over his main course, he will serve it and is not generous.....food absolutely awful! If you like your food, forget this place..........
Whilst we were there, a wedding took place at the venue on premises next door (part of hotel) - and the music and loudness of what you can only say was not "singing" was crazy - no rest, no sleep, and do they care about their primary cource of income, e.g. hotel clients - no!!
Young staff pleasant enough, but overall wouldn't even give this 1 star!
AVOID THIS HOTEL - So much better in immediate locality with better facilities and better food - we spent 12 days of 14 eating out! That statistic sais it all.....the other two was because we fancied salad....................and were fed up having paid for half board and having so little choice!! We felt we had to indulge the shocking choice, instead of spending money on food twice!!!

I don't know what the expectations of the previous reviewer were, but this is a 3 star hotel, with better than most facilities, large swimming pool, kiddies swimming pool, 2 outdoor showers, toilets facilities for male & females by the pool area. We arrived 23 June for 15 nights. We were met at reception at 11.00 pm and our cases taken to the room. The room was clean, fresh, had a reasonable balcony for people, the bathroom had a hair drier ,shaving point and a powerful shower and a bath. Although there was usually only 1 choice of main course, there was also freshly made soup and a huge selection of salads and thankfully no chips every night, breakfast was typically Turkish, boiled eggs, sometimes scrambled eggs, fresh bread,various cheeses and cold meats, jam, butter, honey, olives and fresh yogurt. The room was cleaned every day, towels changed every date, bed linen changed every 3 days. We actually met the previous reviewer and to be fair, she was a solo traveller and never stopped whining about the hotel but without any justification. Ramazan, the hotel manager(who speaks reasonable English) runs a very tight ship and would not tolerate a room not being cleaned properly, do if she had mentioned her complaints regarding the linen, they would have been dealt with. This hotel has many returning guests, so something is obviously being done right.
I would not hesitate to book or recommend this hotel to friends and family. Unfortunately you cannot please all the people all the time.

I arrived early hours 2nd july wen I woke the room looked clean n tidy. Breakfast caters for the masses all ive had is chocolate spread on bread. Not even a toaster or choice of fried egg or scrambled. Pool area not bad. There is a bar which is the only 1 which I found out to be the al'acart resturant which I had read in other reviews. Evening food is awful only 1 main dish which the "chef" really looked like he didn't want to be there stood I over the Food which he served you .in a review I had read saying staff speak English well no One had any idea wat you wanted. Its 1st time ive booked half board and had to pay to go out for something decent to eat. There is 1 choice or no choice. It's now 7th july ive had no clean sheets and no clean towels. Dinner isn't till 8pm so going out for food after seeing wat was on offer made me a little nervous. I booked this hotel on the reviews I had read so not sure where they stayed. It's Friday n i want to go home bit I'm stuck here till Monday night I go home Tuesday morning. So NO I would not recommend this place to anyone. If it wasn't for few fellow English people I don't no wat id have done. Roll on home time . Very dissapointed. 😧😧😧😧

Stayed here for the second year in a row. Again couldn't fault the place. The bedrooms had been refurbished since last year and are clean and bright. Breakfast is fairly basic but most days there was a hot dish of some sorts e.g scrambled egg. Good coffee machine and chilled fruit juice/water dispenser. Friendly staff. The hotel was much busier than last year so the pool was very busy and sometimes there were no beds available for those who came down later. Not helped by some leaving towels on and not using them. My only suggestions to improve the hotel - a toaster at breakfast and to stop guests saving beds as its very annoying. I ended taking the towels off two beds which had towels on most of the day but hadn't been used.

My first visit to Calis since 2015 and it's as if I had never left. The rooms have been refurbished but most of the staff are the same.Ramazan is a True gentleman who always makes guests feel very welcome. The staff speak little English so Ramazan is the communicator. He will go out of his way to accommodate and assist his guests and you arrive as a tourist and leave as a friend. The food is very nice and plentiful. The pool is Devine and it never becomes overcrowded despite the hotel being full. I would certainly recommend the hotel which is close to the beach, shops and amenities. A great choice for a holiday.
