We stayed here (Elk room) in December 2016 and neglected to post a review at that time, so here I am getting caught up.
Location cannot be topped in Banner Elk...you can walk to everything in town, all the shops and dining areas are only a few minutes walk...this is a huge plus for us after spending the day on the slopes, just easier to walk to dinner than to drive...remeber, Banner Elk is a drinking town with a ski problem...so beware.
Sugar Mtn and Beech are just s few minutes drive away and the inn is a refreshing change from the normal condo we often rent in the area during the winter months.
Our room was very comfortable and well appointed for a B&B and it was nice having a room that was not in the main house. The breakfast each morning, though not the designer faire you sometimes find at a B&B, was very good, filling, and we had no complaints about it.
We would not hesitate to stay here again, and neither should you. Happy Trails!

We spent the week traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway and just picking a spot each night with no plans at all. Somehow we ended up in this cute little town and this adorable B&B. We could not have asked for more! frank and Karen are sweethearts and very helpful. The house is gorgeous, and their breakfasts were so yummy! Southern hospitality at its best!

Owners were friendly, but did not mingle with the guests. Food was average. The bedroom was small, but sufficient.
This B & B is very convenient to restaurants and the town area. The grounds and gardens were very nice.

Very nice B&B. Frank, the owner, makes a large breakfast every morning. Everything was very nice. They provide cookies and soft drinks to the guests. Located across from a great cajun restaurant that I highly recommend. Floor are very loud when walking so that might bother some people, but other than that it was quite and bed comfy.

I found the inn in an excellent location- walking distance to the college and restaurants etc. Owners are very friendly and helpful! I stayed in the main house, My room was large and had everything I needed including a large bathroom. Would stay there again if I return to the area.
