What People are saying
Comfortable, Centrally Located and Reasonably Priced
ryanrego5on 12/05/2017 22:05Very convenient location at the Fountain Square (a strolling promenade for locals and foreigners). Close to most of the historical landmarks, shopping district and the waterfront. Hotel room was decent, pretty much ordinary and so was the bathroom, considering it is in located in a 19th century building. Breakfast is a bit weak since you are limited by choice with the same preparation pretty much everyday but no worries plenty of reasonably priced restaurants within a 5 min walking distance. Staff were friendly. People generally find it a challenge to use WiFi in most hotels but i must say this was the first hotel i have stayed in with no complications and good wifi connections.
Perfect location
kilovolt500on 27/11/2016 10:05The Azcot Hotel is centrally located in downtown Baku, adjacent to the Fountain Square, and the large pedestrian zone with Nizami Street, shops, restaurants, theatres, museums, the old city and even the promenade along Baku’s seafront are in walking distance. There is no lobby just a small reception area. There is one elevator but it is worthwhile to take the marble staircase and have a look at the framed pictures showing life in Baku more than 100 years ago. The floors to the rooms are decorated with Persian rugs, oriental porcelain, oil paintings, chairs to sit down, all adding to the ambiance of the gone-by era of Baku. My room was large with a high ceiling, wardrobe and other functional furniture, TV with international channels, desk to work, bathroom with bathtub. The only disadvantage are the too thin walls between the rooms, practically everything can be heard what is talked in the room next door, this is very disturbing when guests arrive past midnight and make phone calls.
The breakfast selection was excellent, cheese, sausages, vegetables, bread, eggs, yoghurt, marmalade, etc. Fried eggs and omelette are prepared on order, I do not have a complaint and I stayed for more than 3 weeks at this hotel. There is free and fast wireless internet. There is no pool nor gym, usually important to me but strolling along Nizami street compensated for it. Special praise to the laundry service, fast, perfect and very affordable. The staff is friendly and helpful, sometimes it is necessary to follow up when ordering a taxi, depending who is at the reception. If the weather permits and one doesn’t have any luggage it is a short walk up the street where always taxis can be found.
A very good hotel
Ken Non 22/10/2016 20:57The hotel is in an excellent position adjacent to Fountain Square. Yet despite its central location, it is quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast wasn't anything special, but that should not detract from the high quality of the hotel. I would certainly return there.
Perfect Location
rk Ron 13/09/2016 16:41Location is just in the fountain square near everything only walking distance.
The rate of the hotel is very good compared to other baku hotels.
My room was really big and very clean.
The laundary is something i never experienced in my life in any other hotels, fast service and cheap.
The WiFi speed and connectivity perfect.
The staff were nice and helpfull , check in and check out was very good and i was giving early check in as well.
Breakfast was good enough for me but the dinning room is small.
Some noise coming from the passage when guests walk or open /close thier room's doors for light sleepers but for me was managable.
overall i had wonderfull stay in Azcot Hotel and really enjoyed my stay.
End of the road (for now) Baku
