I stayed in this hotel for four nights whilst on business on the basis that it was cheaper than hotels in the city centre and, as I spoke the language, I could take a taxi each day to the centre.
It is a hotel from the Soviet era, rooms are poky, dated and offer no air conditioning. The hotel offers live music and if you happen to be on the floor above or below, you are guaranteed not to get any sleep. The hotel is situated on a very busy road and sound insulation is very poor.
Breakfast time is mayhem and on occasion no seats are available. In order to be guaranteed hot water, showers are recommended very early in the morning.
The taxis arranged by the hotel are a rip-off and many times more expensive in comparison with, Yandex, for example.
The staff in Reception and the concierge are sulky, unfriendly and unhelpful.
The wi-fi does not work in the rooms and the only pocket where internet is available, albeit patchy, is in the lobby.
The only positive aspect of the hotel is the restaurant on the right-hand side of the breakfast area where the food is excellent and staff incredibly polite and friendly.
In conclusion, I would avoid this hotel like the plague during future visits to St Petersburg.

This Hotel lies at a far corner of the City, quite far away from the Main City attractions, Has few Restaurants & (Daily Need) Stores/Shops nearby, The Hotel seems to cater mostly to Asian Tourists, The Rooms are small but nice (Mine had a view), Bathrooms are decent, Breakfast was good, A good stay ....

Braekfast and lunch are very bad and low qualified, no exchange office is there
Room serviec is very bad

We were at 10th floor it was very old the room had no air conditioner but good view break fast was simple it was not very special
shampoo was not free
Rooms were not very clean and old!

Very big hotel & therefore is popular with foreign tour groups so fills up - expect crowds, mainly in the lobby and at breakfast.
Fairly good location & great views from the upper floors (especially the Sky Bar on the 18th) but the rooms aren't big - adjust your expectations.
Checking in took forever (despite us having booked & pre-paid) and the staff at breakfast struggled to have it charged to the room; they expected us to pay cash.
Functional for either business or pleasure but not really for families or for a romantic weekend away...
