It is not really a hotel, it is a old typical type of house. Rooms are big, and clean. A good and big outdoor bathroom with a stone tub. Rooms have a balcony where you can relax. It is outside the busy city, quiet place and perfect to stay for 3-5 days where you can have your own privacy.
Hotel has cycle where you can ride it for free and go to nearby 7/11 or other sight seeing.
To go to city, you need to wait a while for a songthaew or tuk tuk as they wont frequently come in that way, but if you request hotel, they will arrange for you for 200 Baht.
Simple breakfast, toast, egg and sausage, no have other choice.
Loved our stay at the hotel, will surely stay for longer next time.

We were in Baan Gong Kham from Feb 10~12, but I really want the stay long!!! Baan Gong Kham is Thai style resort, and total have 8 guestrooms, each room has a small and lovely balcony, I can stay at my balcony drinking and eating, very relax and i am very enjoy my Chiang Mai trip, the bathroom is clean fully equipped and in a half open air style, and have comfortable bed and blanket.
Staffs was very frienfly, smiling but they not really know speak a lot of English, but if they understand my request, they will satisfy all I need, for me is not big problem, because I from Asia, smile is our language.
But soft reminder, A little problem is WIFI very slow..>< and Baan Gong Kham not in the downtown, by tuk tuk and song thaew maybe 5km can reach Wat Phra Singh and hotel right side 10min walk have a Thai food restaurant, very delicious and cheap.

Really lovely and charming rooms with a stone bathtub. Very green environment. Unfortunately there is not enough staff. No service, nothing to drink or eat, no help at all. Not really a hotel. As you know the hotel is situated outside of chiang Mai!

Baan Gong Kham is a great getaway from the throngs of tourists that descend on Chiang Mai. Set in a colonial house, it's the perfect balance between old and rustic with eccentric quirks. The beds were comfortable and had good outdoor bathroom. The garden with its fish pond make a relaxing spot to enjoy breakfast and coffee too. Very happy we stumbled across this. Will definitely be booking here again when we return to Chiang Mai

Quiet little family run hotel. I didn't realize how far it was away from the city of Chiang Mai, but the owner was very friendly. He even allowed us to take his scooter into town. It gave you a really good feel of how the locals live, very quiet and peaceful. Stay for a night or two to get a good night's rest, great breakfast and meet a few nice people
