Excellent Stay
Gaffeeon 20/05/2016 14:36I only stayed at this hotel as I was in town for the football and all accommodation in Basel was booked out. I was very glad I did as it is a charming place and perfectly located.
The staff were warm and friendly and incredibly helpful in providing details of how to plan our travel. Transport into Basel is cheap and easy and Zurich is less than an hour away by car.
The rooms are a decent size, recently refurbished with nice bathrooms. The price we paid was great value, especially as most hotels were hiking their prices due to the high demand.
I would definitely recommend staying here.

F-valleyon 08/04/2015 23:27I'm very pleased with my stay. We had booked the place for a conference. The room was nice and comfortable. The restaurant was terrific, the service great and the beds ok! The wi-fi didn't work properly in my room and the chairs in the conference room left more to wish for. But overall I can recommend the place!

Very good price quality relation for Switserland, very good breakfast, rooms very well equiped but no hyperinstallation, do not expect rings and bells...
Some hick-ups
Chantal Hon 30/07/2013 09:30Let me start by telling that one night at this hotel had the price of one person during the week vacation we had. So it was an expensive stay. The room price is not cheap considering it is a one night drive through.
There is not real check -in but the staff is very friendly en helpful. The treat you like you are a member of the family.
You don't sign anything when you have a drink or something to eat. That means they work on a base of confidence and that is a nice gesture.
The food of the hotel was overpriced. This is probably because they have been noted in a gourmet guide. The price was to high for the quality. I'm not saying it was bad, but as a Belgian girl I can tell you that for the price of 150 euro's I have had much better.
The owner is around and very friendly.
The room itself, it was a bit sad that there is no airconditioning. Bed lamps didn't work en the bad is an bit outdated and needed some work.
The room itself is very spacious.
Beds are good.
Breakfast was very nice.
Free Wi-fi is great.
Great food and hospitality
Thomas Don 10/01/2013 19:22The food is always great and it is served by very friendly staff. The owner is always around and pays attention to every detail. I highly recommended this restaurant for a nice gathering with your loved ones or for a dinner for two.
