What People are saying
Very good clean pleasant hotel in quite area
costello_mon 01/07/2017 19:22My second time here and did not dissapoint., Spacious rooms, good selection at breakfast and nice friendly staff. It was hot weather and there is no air con (cooling) but the bedroom windows open fully which was a reilef so it was ok. Only annoyance is that people smoke in rear garden and it wafts into the bedrooms. They should ban smoking in all the hotel property. Wifi was free and worked very well.
A Good hotel if you can't find a vacant better hotel
Abdelrahman Eon 04/07/2016 15:38I could not find vacant room in other highly rated hotels, so I had to book here. At check-in time, Anita from stuff welcomed us and she was very friendly and helpful. The room is quite good and clean, but a little bit old-styled. There is a tram station 3 mins walk from the hotel. Also, there is a grocery store and a cafe 5 mins walk.
The Internet is limited to 500 MBs per day (This is 2016, right?).
Overall, the hotel is average and is suitable for short term stays.
Just a perfeft hotel!
Olga Non 27/06/2016 22:14I have been in many hotels in the world, and I must say that this is just a perfect hotel to stay. Room was big, clean, cosy, sound-isolated, with good quolity bathroom. Breakfast was very cheap, but exellent: great choice, everything fresh anfd testy. I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel. Espesially recommended for journey with kids (we were with our 1.5 year twins).
Learn German before booking and Avoid Late arrival
Richard Jon 05/06/2016 13:09Checked-in late, the the staff were not rude but English was not their strong point, so it was very difficult to have a conversation, at 10pm there was no food or room service available NO ROOM SERVICE AVAILABLE !!!,
I was told when I checked-in the the Internet did not work with my smartphone, but only with laptops, this turned out not to be the case.
The room was very clean and a good nights sleep.
but the next morning breakfast is a buffet, and by 7:45 on a Sunday morning had been blitzed !!! Nothing left apart from a few bread rolls and some cake, when asked the staff if they were going to put more food out I was told no this was it.
There seemed to be a coach party staying that may be the reason for the obliteration.
When asked what time breakfast is served until 07:00 - 10:45 I can't see what the point is if there is only crumbs left.
So I waited around an hour for the coach party to leave and guess what, they put more food out.
I think the issue here is there is no capable English spoken, and they should make sure this is clear in their listings, as after the coach party had gone breakfast although not the best I have had in Germany it was all fresh and well presented and the service from the staff after they had been overwhelmed was faultless.
My advice is check if they have any Large groups staying, the restaurant with 50 people left breakfast looking like they have been hit by locusts !
And on check out more of non English speaking receptionist it's Germany and it's not their fault but really this is Europe and a 4* rated hotel
My supper was beer and crackers Bear crackers
Rudest service I have ever encountered
Tanya Don 17/01/2016 08:01I have travelled to many places from all around the world throughout my lifetime, and have had my fair share of incidents now and then. However, never in my travels have I encountered such Ill-mannered service from anywhere, especially from numerous fields of the same hotel. Upon my arrival, I received my Wi-Fi login details, which had a substantial limit of 1000 MB.
The next morning - and to my surprise - I found that my Wi-Fi had "exceeded its limit", which had been used scarcely for Facebook and messages for less than half an hour. It was only logical to inquire as to how my Wi-Fi could have run out after using it for such a little amount of time. So I went down to reception to request a new Wi-Fi login, which was far from an unreasonable request. The receptionist, supposedly called Negea, (I could be wrong with the names) responded in such an extremely impolite and rude manner, exchanging both judgemental glances and false accusations, which made me question her employment in the hotel.
After requesting further investigation, she printed a document detailing my internet usage throughout the night. In that document showed substantial amounts of downloads at ungodly hours of the morning, to which my device was not even connected to the internet, as I was asleep. Evidently, there was a serious problem with the hotels' internet service.
Upon further discrepancies with the receptionist, she agreed to follow this up with the IT department and have her colleague inform me of the issue later that night. It was to no avail that her colleague (who goes by the name of Kristen) shared the same unprofessional attitude of the previous receptionist.
As asked, I inquired later that night as to whether the issue had been resolved, but she wished not to cooperate and refused to show evidence that the problem was an issue with the hotel. Clearly, there was a pre-existing issue with the hotels' Wi-Fi, but their lack of integrity had put the blame on my apparent "ignorance". I then asked again if I would be able to receive a new wi-fi log in, but she refused.
This poor service was carried through to the hotel buffet, where I had issues requesting a bowl for my cereal, to which the employee arrogantly proposed I must use a cup in the place of such. The room size and presentation was good, but did not even come close to making up for the worst 'hotel' experience I have ever had!!!
