Dear Bravofly,
Sorry for writing in English because my french is not good enough. For my stay in Balladin Brest hotel.... when I did the reservation for this trip I did it in August to be a honey moon because I got married in 05/09/2014 and I left directly to France to join my courses in the university and my wife also, so we planned to do nice trip to Brest, and when we chose this offer from you through your website we saw the room and it was big and good, but when we arrived there and get in the room we shocked about that because it was so small not the one that we chose on your website, and we we asked them in the hotel they told us that this is what they have;I think you faked us by putting pictures not the one on the real..... we are so disappointed from you and this is not my first time reserving a flight through you, but this time which is the most important one for me as it was my honey moon, I'm so disappointed from you and I will never go through you to any vacation....... I think nothing can convince us using your website again .....

best regards
and thank you anyway

We booked a family room, but got a broom closet!

we booked a family room but we got a broom closet ! very tight fit for the 4 of us, only stayed two nights but that was enough, the shower/toilet was unbearably tiny so claustrophobic, and the hotel was situated about 300 metres from a retail park. A 10 minute walk from the hotel to the tram station meant the town of Brest was easily accessible, we quite enjoyed the tram rides they are quite easy to navigate. Brest itself was very nice too. Service at the hotel was in fact very good and the staff were very accommodating as we didn't know much french! Continental breakfast was something to get used to. On the whole I wouldn't stay again as it didn't suit what we were looking for - room to move!

Disappointed

1 night stopover which I was glad about, the twinroom was very small for 1 person never mind 2.

What a breakfast!

An average good hotel, with a simply astonishing breakfast.
Never had a breakfast like that one. You can skip all your other meals and jump directly to the next breakfast, the day after.
Oh my god, what a breakfast!

The room was so small we had to sit on the bed to get past each other !!

This hotel is 5 minutes drive from the airport, there is no bus there & we were charged 17 Euros by taxi (standard rate). There is nothing close by to the hotel apart from a few other hotels although the bus stop for the town is just over the road, to walk will take you 55 minutes to the town centre/Brest castle/Harbour. The hotel has 60 rooms which are very small, we had a double just a bed, wardrobe (4 hangers!) ,small desk,en-suite toilet & shower,we had to sit on the bed as we could not get past each other in the room!! It was very clean & tidy & the staff were very friendly. Only 2 of them could speak 'some' English which did cause some problems as we only have a few French words between us....Rooms have heaters & Sat' T.V (all in French.......) The reception was not open 24 hours as advertised (it shut at 11pm every night) & on our last day it actually shut at 12 noon !! & was not re-opening until 5pm, meaning we could not leave our cases there for a few hours as we would have liked.) (The main door to the hotel is locked, you are given a card to get in with) (It shut because it was a holiday May 8th ........?? ) The breakfast was a cold buffet, quite a good selection, French bread/Crossant/Cereal/Drinks which was all very nice. There is no restaurant but you can order drinks throughout the day. If we returned to Brest again without a car we would look for a hotel in the town, near the attractions.
