Maggiedootdooton 01/08/2017 19:30Driven past this so many times and never realised how nice it was. My flight was cancelled so I tried to book a hotel close to airport. The Ballyrobin is only a mile away. Very reasonable price as well. Fantastic service at every touchpoint tonight. Dinner was promptly served, piping hot and delicious. Very friendly colleagues throughout. Overall a great find...I will be back
Let down by slow service
CPDO10on 29/07/2017 11:19Stayed overnight here before travelling home from our holiday. Room itself was fine. Even with windows closed there is a lot of noise from the road and airplanes taking off. Ate at the restaurant for an evening meal and service was exceptionally slow. Didn't have high hopes for breakfast. I was right. Once again we sat for nearly an hour before our food arrived. A few items were wrong and had to be returned. Not a great experience overall and wouldn't stay here again.
Great place for meal break after airport pick up/drop off
David Fon 25/07/2017 01:53Picked up family members at airport and stopped off here for a bite to eat. Welcoming surroundings both inside and outside, staff sufficiently attentive to be efficient without being overbearing. Good choice of food in a number of price ranges - I had the Open Prawn Sandwich - excellent. While there, there was a steady stream of other clients including some air crew.
Just ok
dorathexplorerhahaon 19/07/2017 23:58Stayed here in July '17, we only needed a room for the night to catch an early flight. Room was nice, I liked the old style furniture.
Reception staff could do with a little bit more smile. It is ok to just stay overnight, bed was comfy. But if you have to catch an early flight prepare some time for breakfast! We were there first, just after 7 and it took too long for what was ordered. Also a bit pricey.
That's why it's just ok
Don't pass by drop in!
ShazFinlayon 16/07/2017 10:14Over the years on the way to and from the International Airport in Antrim we have passed by Ballyrobin and have never stop in. Tonight we were staying in a local country house who recommended Ballyrobin as somewhere to eat. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and we found the surroundings very quaint. The food was excellent, flavoursome and very well presented. Ballyrobin also has room available we hope to return and stay next time.
