Rayyagari1on 08/07/2017 15:44Nice hotel with great staff. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good views from the rooms and the dining area. For families with kids there is a nice play area. There are ponies on the grounds. It is only 13 minutes from the train station,
Awesome atmospher and delicious food
Martin_Zempon 07/05/2017 13:08We have had a political meeting with former presidents and board and executives members. The food was outstanding amazing good and the wine too. The restaurant was super clean, to dine with wheelchairs is possible and the view at the alps is wonderful. The hotel staff is very high trained and super friendly.
We will join this place again.

Alpax23on 26/03/2017 21:42Stayed at "Hotel Balm" two nights in March of 2017. Hotel's pretty good, we thought. Get a room on the side nearest the lake, 'cause the view is well worth the small extra charge. Free parking, friendly service. For Switzerland, where nothing's very cheap, this place is reasonable. But I booked a hotel here mostly due to the Michelin report on the restaurant, said to be one of the best in the neighborhood. We arrived to be disappointed by "Closed for a few days, gone to a meeting" (or some such) posted at the door to the dining room. Merde! Wish we'd known, we'd have booked some other place.
Disappointing
Donna Non 05/02/2017 21:03We stayed in this over rated overpriced hotel for 2 nights and 2 nights too long. We were tired from driving all day so decided to have a meal in their bistro. The prices were exhorbinate ranging from 28 chf to 46 chf. We had a schnitzel and fries and that's exactly what you got... No gravy or sauce no vegetables for 28 chf (36 Aud) each and we decided to have a glass of wine but we're not given a wine menu we were given a glass with about 12mls of wine in it and when we received the bill it was 16 chf (22aud)each glass WT...The breakfast was appalling we had a bowl of cornflakes and a cup of tea and unless you like cheese and meat for breakfast this is all that is left to choose from. To top it off we had people above us banging and stomping around until well after midnight and then again early hours of the morning DO NOT STAY THERE!!!
Pleasant stay
wendywoodyon 21/01/2017 23:53We spent the day in Luzern and then took the bus to meggan the bus stopped right outside the entrance to the hotel.
Check in was fast and efficient the young lady who checked us in spoke excellent English as did all the staff.
We stayed in room 20 a double room with bathroom and a comfortable separate seating area, on arrival in the room it was a little cool but we turned up the radiators and in no time the room was lovely and warm. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. The only thing i would say is soundproofing is not that good.
When we arrived it was snowing with very low cloud so we were unaware of the view waiting for us once the clouds had lifted , a stunning view of the mountain and lake greeted us.
We were joined by family for breakfast the next morning which was delicious, a good selection of breads, meats and cheeses as well as fresh fruit, porridge and cereals. Tea and coffee were replenished freely again served by friendly helpful staff.
Overall a very pleasant stay , many thanks .
