Peaceful

My husband and I stayed at Balmoral Inn for the second time July 14-16th.

We arrived and the envelope with our name on it was waiting at the front door. Perfect!
This is a lovely B & B. The host was there to greet us and ask if there is anything that we needed.
The room was quiet, air-conditioning,and quite spacious. Bed comfortable and a new bathroom was lovely.
Breakfast : The fridge was full of eggs, yogurt, juice there were two toasters, & a perfect egg poacher ! Each morning we made our own breakfast, it was so nice to eat in the beautiful dining room. There was always a fresh bowl of fruit on the table also. Coffee was yummy.
David, the host helped us with our GPS in the car rental and was most helpful with things to do .
All in all a terrific stay. We would highly recommend Balmoral Inn. any time of the year.

Heritage home

This is a beautiful heritage property very tastefully decorated. Great location, friendly hosts. stayed two nights and loved it. would have given a hgher rating but not impressed by the breakfasts which consisted mostly of toast, Kelloggs cereals, shop bought waffles/muffins etc. which we had to forage for in the kitchen and take to the dining room. boiled egg was offered if you cooked it yourself.
Strongly suggest: replace packsge cereals and have a container of granola placed in nthe dining room with bowls of yogurt, fruit salad etc. Do a deal with the lovely coffeeshop down the street on the corner for their delicious scones, muffins etc
and place in basket on the table. Replace all those little "Dennys" plastic containers of jam and source some good hand made jams and preserves. That is all it takes if you want to keep it simple and in character with this gorgeous home!

A Beautifully restored historic home

We stayed for two nights at the Balmoral Inn, at the end of our trip to Newfoundland. David, our host, was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our casual breakfasts and enjoyed David's company and conversation. Our room, on the 3rd floor had remarkable views of the harbour! (although no air conditioning we could open the window) Rooms throughout the house are stylishly decorated with antiques and artwork reflective of the period. The home is a great location to downtown restaurants and local sites such as the Basilica and The Rooms. We requested a late checkout and storage of our luggage and David was very willing to accommodate us. This is a great location--- quiet, private, and central.

Great accomodation and location to restaurants.

This B&B i.s very clean and modern yet has an old charm with all its furnishing. I would recommend this place. Kim our host was very helpful in recommending places to visit. My wife and I visited the surrounding areas of St. Johns while we used the Inn as a base.

Highly Recommended

Very centrally located B and B in a beautiful heritage home that has been tastefully renovated. We felt so at home in the building and were warmly welcomed by Kimberly at breakfast both mornings. Avoid the chain hotels, and stay here instead!
