Amazing!
Mia Pon 07/06/2017 04:41Loved the location! It was easy to get to and next to a town but still had the remote feeling. Behind the house are Munros that are a nice walk and give a great feeling of the highlands. The room was amazing and the house was super cute! Fiona and her husband were amazing host. A highlight of my trip was talking with them. The breakfast was awesome also!

We were perfectly welcome by Geoff, Fiona and Oakley (the dog!).
All the house is lovely decorated with a lot of small cute details. Bed is really comfortable and proximity with the A9 not a problem at all to sleep.
Fiona cooks really well and it was a pleasure to have breakfast and dinner in the B&B. Good moment of sharing with the other friendly host and Fiona thanks to the open kitchen.
I recommend this place for sure.

ncl_schmidton 01/06/2017 13:08Balsporran is an especially lovely place, where you can see and feel that Fiona and Geoff did the renovations with much love and taking care of many details. The house is a bit remote, which even increases the great atmosphere. The rooms have a real fantastic interiour, most of it individual crafted. Great breakfast in a cosy kitchen/ dining room. We even had a great dinner there since we were to lazy in the evening to go somewhere else.
Absolutely recomendation !
Roll out the superlatives
trevanddenon 30/05/2017 11:43Situated in the Drumochter Pass, this excellent B&B makes an wonderful stopover on the route to the far North. It is one of the few places which make you want to plan a walking trip based on staying there. With 6 Munros and several Corbetts within striking distance its an ideal base. As an extra bonus in what is otherwise a bit of a gastronomic wilderness, Fiona can provide terrific evening meals. The work of restoration in the house includes Geoff's home-made furniture, mainly from Oak. The whole place is a delight. Did I mention Oakley the dog? He's great too.
