janeyFlintshireon 17/06/2015 21:00We have just returned from a week in this delightful B and B in Bergamo - its in a fab position near to the old city and allows a chance of experiencing old style Italian hospitality. Agnese really spoilt us with her excellent breakfasts - each different and allowing us to savour Italian specialities on her homely terrace with fantastic views of the old city of bergamo - I would return in a heartbeat and would highly recommend,

samamoondaon 12/09/2011 17:28arrived in bergamo from glasgow on way to lake garda. very cute place, felt very authentic, rustic italy! loved visiting this old city. breakfast was lovely. owners didn't speak much english but were very friendly. woke up to old church bells which was nice :)
Charming B&B in handy situation
DunyaLargsScotlandon 15/11/2009 20:18Don't be put off by exterior of building down a narrow street - once inside and upstairs it opens out into a charming set of rooms with pretty balconies. Unfortunately when we visited the weather was gray and damp but we could imagine how beautiful it would be having breakfast outside and enjoying the views up to San Vigilio. Our accommodation was a one bedroom apartment with living area/full kitchen, bathroom and upstairs a delightful old fashioned bedroom with a large double and one single bed. Whilst not modern accommodation it was spotless and biscuits, fruit, sweets, bottled water and unlimited tea and coffee thoughtfully provided. Breakfast was in the owners' kitchen - not loads to eat but more than adequate. The owners were very friendly and homely and did everything to make our short stay very comfortable. The location is a few minutes walk from the funicular up to San Vigilio and within easy walking distance of the Citta Alta. We also walked up to San Vigilio and back, good for walking off the great meal we had at the top at Ristorante Pizzeria! Would not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
