Very Old B & B
terryjames14on 20/04/2017 08:36The ground floor accommodation was a big double bedroom and a spacious lounge room with a single bed and a door to the garden. This B & B certainly could do with some TLC.
The beds were comfortable, the heating worked well and the bathroom was clean with hot shower - slightly cramped toilet space!
The garden was run down.
Breakfast was substandard.
The location was great and the surrounding restaurants were very good. Nice walk to the Tower.
Franco was old school gentlemanly.
Not for people expecting the norm!
Frances Son 28/04/2016 22:15This little place is extremely handy to the Leaning Tower, has parking if arranged, and the owner, Franco, was a lovely elderly gentleman.
Even though there was a general feeling of dustiness and dilapidation, including your antique breakfast plates being chipped and cracked, you somehow felt you were experiencing a real Italian home
Worst hotel we ever stay. 1 star only.
Ig0r1967on 02/10/2015 18:52Conveniently located - is ONLY a positive thing about this hotel. Old, with dirty rooms and mold on the ceiling, with no working air conditioner. The owner is the old man who is trying any possible way to take extra money from his clients and do nothing if you have trouble with room. Breakfast is a joke, with the cheapest plastic food you can find, what you can be stored without refrigerator, nothing was natural not even a coffee. Rooms are noisy and beds are so old and uncomfortable that next day you are not rested and not happy to see a Pisa. Not recommend at any circumstances. Don't be fooled by pictures and location.
Poor hotel/b and b
Lynchmobyorkon 15/08/2014 20:39Bathroom really let this place down. Blocked smelly drains, dirty water coming from the shower. Floor was filthy with mould on walls. We did mention this but a shrug of the shoulders by the owner made us feel like we were being petty. Breakfast gross, no fresh produce but a very stale cake from at leaast a day before and there was a mouldy lemon on offer? Garden looked overgrown and not kept at all. The gentleman owner was very sweet but still no excuse for substandard accommodation. We spent the evening looking for alternative accommodation and not enjoying the sights of Pisa which was a real shame, as everywhere was booked up. We are frequent travellers for business and pleasure but we would not recommend this b&b to anyone.
A very old fashion and stylish BnB
Superstar24on 06/08/2014 09:35The place is very nice and clean.An antic building near Pisa Tower (just 3-5mins. walk).We booked this place because of the parking,i think we paid 5€/day since parking is hard to find within the area and mostly prohibited.The room is nice and clean with a nice painting on the ceiling.The breakfast is good but they don't serve warm food like hard-boiled egg or bacon but it was ok for us since we just stayed there overnight and it's actually operated by a very nice and friendly old man (owner),so we understood that it maybe it's too much work for him if he will do warm food breakfast .This place is good for an overnight stay if you're planning to have a side trip,on the way to Elba.
