Lovely hotel with some quirks
Eve74on 22/04/2017 18:28This place has a lot going for it - ideal location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, charming rooms, and an amazing private balcony. We could have done without the quirky welcome however which involved way too much back-and-forth on our arrival time, where they were located (Google maps tells you the wrong entrance), and finding the car park which is basically in a field. It was a lot of hassle which I feel could be avoided by sending all guests this information in an standard email ahead of time (or putting it on the booking site as other hotels do). But all in all, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it
Clean and comfortable
BethFromKentuckyon 20/10/2016 22:06My girlfriend and I stayed in the "deluxe" room which was the Newlywed Room! We had a good laugh at the fancy lighting and extra large shower room. Daria, the manager/owner was extremely helpful giving us directions from the train station, and calling us to make sure we knew what time to check in. We stayed in a grotto room which was a delight! The room was large and clean. Breakfast was wonderful...beside the delicious array of fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, breads, pastries, we had a choice of how we wanted our eggs! I had soft boiled, Lydia had fried over easy. We asked about a boat tour (highly recommend Dorino gite in Barca if the weather is good to do this). Stay at B&B Antico Mondo!
Great find in Polignano a Mare
Prudence39on 26/09/2016 12:48Three of us stayed at B&B Antico Mondo. Two stayed in a well equipped two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with dining area and kitchenette and large rooftop terrace and the third was in an upstairs room with spacious terrace in the nearby main building where we all gathered for breakfast.
Dario the front of house manager was brilliant. We were a bit daunted by the stairs to both our rooms but she insisted in on handling our luggage herself. She was a wonderful source of information about restaurants and organised a car and driver for us to go to nearby Alberobello, Ostuni and The Castellano Grotto caves on different days.
Enjoyable stay at a friendly and relaxing B&B
Chezmoi55on 13/09/2016 20:54Located in the old town, opposite an amazing restaurant, we loved our two week stay in this B&B. Daria and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful , suggesting where we could eat and where we might like to visit. Our air conditioned room was imaginatively furnished (it even included a fridge for cold drinks)and had a delightful little terrace overlooking the town; we sat there every evening enjoying a drink and people watching. The bathroom was spotless with a huge shower and a bidet. Breakfasts were delicious - freshly cooked pastries, cold meats and cheese, yoghurts and fruit. I really recommend this establishment.
Best B&B in Italy!
coryscharboon 06/09/2016 14:45Awesome location next to one of the most beautiful beach spots in Italy! The B&B is located in the old historic town, close to all the main sights! It offers a clean, comfortable, and charming atmosphere. Great sound proofed rooms with charming stone walls and floors, made for peaceful nights rest after long days. Daria and the staff do an amazing job and made my wife and I feel welcomed. We were provided with all the necessities and access to private parking. We even had to check-in late due to flight arrival, without any problems. Polignano A Mare is the best kept secret in southern Italy! Our room was fantastic with two large private balconies...all within walking distance to several beach fronts. Breakfast each morning was amazing with an option of fresh hot food (eggs and bacon) made to order! This has been one of our favorite vacation spots so far here in Italy, we can’t wait to return. If you are coming to Polignano, you must stay at Antico Mondo!
