Home vibe - super clean - chic
ancabnvon 11/07/2017 19:43Me and my husband stayed in Bergamo for one night before flying back home and he booked this B&B. Super friendly owner, who offered to make us a breakfast bag to go because we had to check out the next day at 5 a.m., and who gave us great advice on where to go shopping, eating and where to park our rented car. She even owns a French Bulldog - Cake ( a major plus for us who missed ours after traveling for a week) so the fact that the cute puppy came greeting us was just perfect. ( for people who don't like pets: don't worry, the owner is very polite, so if you don't want to you do not have to pet the super awesome Cake ). Another major plus was the fact that the whole property is super clean, despite the vintage/industrial design: super clean bedding, towels, cups, shower, toilet, curtains and everything. The property smells super clean and freshly washed ( even the blanket on the bed, which we all know isn't usually washed each time at most hotels was freshly washed ). We stayed in the room next to the breakfast kitchen wich may be a minus for someone staying for more than a night because giving the fact that the bathroom is outside the room and it may get noisy in the morning - but for us sleeping here for just one night it was just perfect. (After ~19:00 we had the whole floor just for us, so we could close the main door and hang out ) We will definitely come back again and I want to say thumbs up for the management and the stuff: you are doing a great job.
Beautiful views.
Catastrophicendon 02/07/2017 23:04Visited the region for the second time and this B&B is amazing. We had the a room on the top floor which had a beautiful panoramic view of the rooftops. Staff were great and the breakfast was very good. The B&B is in a perfect location giving you a central location. Recommended.
Be careful which room you get!
Laura Ron 19/06/2017 17:10With such a great central location, we had equally high expectations. What a shame...
The room we had was unsurprisingly not featured on their website. Though the room was large, there was no air conditioning and we did not have an en-suite bathroom.
The bed sagged somewhat in the middle so while you started a nights sleep on separate sides, you soon woke up in a pile in the middle.
There wasn't an opportunity to have a lie in during our stay as our room was across the way from the breakfast room with only 2 sliding doors keeping the noise out.
The bathroom facilities were ok. If one overlooked the fact that when you locked the door, there was a slight gap so people could look in
Breakfast was nice though
A lovely b&b in a great location
cosybabeson 08/03/2017 11:21We really enjoyed our one night break in the beautiful Bergamo Alta. The apartment was great, lovely and spacious with a living area and kitchenette, plus two bedrooms. It was too big for our needs but we got the last room available. The bathroom is a little old-fashioned compared to the rest of the place. Breakfast was great, everything you could possibly want. The only awkward thing is the position of the kettle ( and pellet coffee machine) if you want to make a tea, it's in the corner and it's hard to get past some of the tables (if people are sitting at them obviously). I'd highly recommend this structure and will definitely come back. You get a parking pass for your car too which is great. The lady who welcomed us on arrival was very nice too and gave us a few suggestions for dinner and things to visit.
Nice B&B just below Citta Alta
Rosi83on 05/03/2017 23:09We had a perfect two-nights stay in a lovely room at Botton D'Oro at Vicolo Pelabrocco (not the large Via Pelabrocco, but a small street just before the bus stop for the newcommers). It had a large double bed with warm blankets of goose-down, retro furniture and a nice bath with everything necessary. The hosts were always polite and the homemade breakfast was amazing.
