Charm, comfort & warm hospitality

We stayed two nights at this very lovely B&B and I wish we could have stayed two more. Our suite was perfect for a family of four: spacious rooms, big wide beds, a huge roof-top terrace. (We were visiting during the Perseids meteor showers, so thoroughly enjoyed the chance to lay on the terrace floor and stare at the night sky, counting shooting stars.) The place had all sorts of charm and, most important, truly kind hosts who took good care of us.

We arrived later than we'd hoped (10:45 pm instead of 9:30) and had a difficult time finding the place in the dark. This was partially due to an error with our GPS (it took us to the road 100 meters further, where we found only a dark house) and also due to the lack of clear signage. (I'd advise arriving in the daylight hours) But what's most important about that is that despite our very late arrival, the hosts were kind, friendly and understanding. We felt about keeping them up, and they didn't make an issue of it.

We were treated like royalty at breakfast. A beautiful spread and DO take the cheese if they offer it!

Unlike the previous comment, we had no problem at all with wi-fi on the top floor... it worked perfectly.

I recommend this place highly --

Nice romantic getaway

My boyfriend and I stayed here in Novemeber 2012. We found the place through Booking.com and we decided to stay based on many reviews. We stayed on the top floor with the balcony. Note: Wireless doesn't reach this floor.
Although the room and mini-apartment are truly beautiful, we encountered a few things. First, the heat hadn't been turned on and so it was quite cold. It should be noted the hostess is very kind and was concerned about making us comfortable. They had turned on the heat, but it is quite an open space and so even with a space heater, it was still a bit chilly during the day when the heat was off. Next, upon our arrival we discovered a fly problem. We killed about 10 flies the first night and another 12 first thing in the morning. The following day they seemed to be better. The bed was really comfortable (and warm with plenty of blankets). We were sad to discover the quaint church restaurant wasn't as active as other posts mentioned so we dined in town both nights.I imagine this is a perfect spring or summer location, but perhaps not as warm and cozy for the fall/winter months. The breakfast was very nice with different breads and a nice supply of cheese. There are some books on shelves around that can be borrowed. We took advantage of the offer for using the bicycles and rode around one afternoon to discover the ruins of a castle and the majestic countryside. When we checked out the last morning, there was an issue with the credit card machine and my boyfriend's card ultimately was charged twice. We had a very nice stay, but due to some of the oddities and minor inconveniences, I gave my rating. I would really like to come back in the summer/Spring months though so if you are considering traveling during that time, I think it would be ideal.
