Overall, the B&B Cappellini was a fine place to stay on a budget. The manager was very nice. The breakfast is made up of bread, packaged croissants, and tea. The room had enough room for me and my two friends, and the room was cute. A lot of people complain about the area in the reviews, but you just need to be smart about it. It's a dodgy area, but we simply just went through the station at night and stayed on the side of the road of the station when walking. It's really easy to take public transport from this location. Overall, you're in Rome paying X amount, so don't be surprised when it isn't perfect.

Cappellini: Good News and Bad News

The Bed & Breakfast itself is average. The level of cleanliness and the breakfast offered were again perfectly average. The owner's decor is amusing and you can tell he has tried to make the place more comfortable for his guests, he was very hospitable and nice. This B&B does not exceed expectations but is suitable enough for a short stay in Rome. The location can be seen from two points of view: the location is great because it is right across the street from the station or horrible because it is in the middle of a dodgy and possibly dangerous area. I recommend walking through the station at and taking the side staircase that wraps around the building if you plan on returning to the hotel at night.

Hotel in slums

aleksandraannaron 19/08/2016 19:50

Hotel is located in the middle of poor black neighborhood. To go there you have to walk throug a lot of homelesses sitting on the ground, and they are sitting there in front of the hotel whole day. Everything is stinking of piss, there is garbage everywhere on the ground. The neughborhood seems really dangerous. Defenitly not recommended during the night.
The only thing on breakfast is a toast with very sweet jam, there is nothing else.
The only good thing is localisation just right next to main station.

Very bad area, awful service at the reception

Ilir Kon 11/07/2016 18:42

It was so bad that we simply decided to book another hotel after the first night. First of all, the area around is very dangerous at night, and we were more than once told not to have any valuable objects with us if we want to be safe. Furthermore, we were charged an extra 20 euro simply because our flight was a bit delayed and we arrived 30 min later than expected. We had booked a room with two single beds, but it had a large one instead. When we arrived, not only the guy at the reception didn't speak good english, but he wasn't even able to speak italian (he wasn't italian), so it was impossible to communicate with him. His reaction when we said we will leave for another hotel because of the bad conditions was simply "oh ok give me the keys", not showing any form of interest. I strongly recommend to look for other options, that's the only area around the Termini station in such a bad condition, like it was a ghetto.

Amazing!

I'm volunteering my way around Europe right now and I have to say I've seen things. Staying here was the best decision ever! The detail and cleanliness were amazing after staying at hostels and strangers houses it was a refreshing start to wake up to the fact breakfast was just outside of my room. It was included too! I loved my stay I only wish it could have been longer!
