Do not get tricked by the photos.

We booked at this B&B two night, what a mistake.First of all it is very hard to find it and after you have to call the guy in charge, you find out that in located in a block of flats,of course on the booking site doesn't say that.
So you have call the 'guy' now comes the worst part when you enter the apartament, the smell,my God was so bad.It smelled like no fresh air was coming in.
We decided that is unacceptable for us,and after an 5 hours drive,we started to look for anther hotel wich we did find cheaper and was a 4 star hotel,go figure.
I read a few reviews about this B&B and I was shocked, yes the place is clean, maybe the breakfast is good but 'the guy',I am refering to him as 'the guy' brcause I don't know is name, needs to do something about that smell.

Great place to stay in Milan

Not your typical B&B. Located in a tall apartment building (small sign next to buzzer to be let in), you are welcomed into the owner's home and given a space to share. The bedrooms and shared bathrooms have locking doors for privacy. The living area is open, as is the kitchen during breakfast. It was very clean and well appointed. The rooms were large and the bed was fairly comfortable. Wifi was good, as was the food. Several restaurants nearby with authentic local flavours. Free parking available on the street for those with cars, and only a short drive to airport. I would definitely recommend this place to others, as I felt very safe and relaxed here.

feels right at home!

I stayed at del Parco Lambro just last week and I would recommend this to any one who is looking for affordable and personal accommodation with friendly owner and a place with characters!

The B&B is located just 7 stops on the Metro from Duomo. When you get off at Lambrate it's about 7-10mins walk on the main road. I travelled on my own (a foreign female) and I felt safe in the surrounded areas. It is also very close to Linate Airport, a taxi would cost around 10-15Euro which is very affordable in any European standard (recommend for a group).

When I arrived I called the B&B and Tere (Teresa, the B&B's part time cleaning lady) came to open the door for me. Unfortunately she doesn't speak English (and I don't know any Italian) but she is so cute, lovely and friendly we managed to introduce each other. She showed me my room and the facilities in the flat. Beppe the owner would tell you a few things around the flat and after that he will leave you be, but immediately we were talking like friends.

The B&B is actually Beppe's home, it has a nicely decorated living room (with a grand chandelier) and a very bright balcony area where there are 2 lounge chairs with footstool if you want to watch tv or just relax and chill.

There are 2 guest rooms and my room was the one next to the living room. Like I said I felt almost at home so whenever I was in I would leave my door open - I felt THAT homely! My room looks over to the communal garden, it is peaceful and quiet. Shouldn't be a problem anymore but if you sleep with window opened then Beppe has electric mosquito repellent should you need it.

Breakfast is served between 8-9am in the kitchen. There are sweet treat (typical what Italians eat themselves), bread, coffee/tea, yogurt and sometimes home-made croissant if Beppe likes you (ha ha!).

There is a shared bathroom and it's maintained clean and dry at all times.

Beppe can also recommend restaurants / gelato parlour around Milan (he wasn't wrong about Grom gelato on Corso Bueno Aires!).

All in all it was a very pleasant stay and would stay in del Parco Lambro again in Milan next time! (say hi to Tere for me!)

Shocked!

We arrived at this hotel (or room!!!) late night. We were surprised to see that it is an apartment rather than a hotel on the second floor of a big building. Nobody answered the bell of the apartment, in the end, an old lady opened the door. We thought we were at the wrong address, but apparently it was correct. She said that she is not aware of the booking, her husband takes care of bookings of their spare room, which they rent and they advertise as a bed&breakfast! She said her husband is at hospital. Finally, she accepted us! She gave us a key. The sheets were not clean, the room was so cold and there was actually no breakfast, the old lady prepared a breakfast, but it didn't contain anything. We spent the night without sleep and left at 7 am in the morning anyways. We were shocked when we understood that this is not a hotel, this is just a room in a small apartment. The pictures in booking.com are wrong, for one room, it is too expensive. The only motivation for us to stay at this place was the proximity to the airport. But, be careful, it is far. It costs 17 euro by taxi to go to the airport. I would say, go to a hotel! And, don't book this place via booking.com, because it is a fake ad.

What a Delight!

Just the perfect B&B experience, and the host Beppe is a pure delight! Beautifully furnished, and a wonderful breakfast with fresh-baked rolls and pastry that changes daily. Nicely located, with plenty of parking. One tip: after you confirm your reservation, email Beppe and get instructions on how to buzz into the building on check-in. It's easy, but not obvious.
