Perfect location and lovely room
Love4k9on 25/08/2016 15:04It's about 15 minutes walk from Firenze station. Finding the street was easy but finding the hotel was little tricky. It's about 200 - 300m once you walk into the street somewhere between a butcher and a restaurant. Sadly the elevator wasn't working and the apartment/reception was on the 3rd floor. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We requested for early check-in and she was waiting for us promptly. The room was clean and spacious and most importantly I had a lovely view of THE Duomo from the balcony. I was simply awed! We enjoyed sipping our tea and viewing the people and the duomo from the room. Couldn't have asked for a better room. I will definitely stay in B&B if I visit Florence again.

colin fon 27/03/2016 14:13Stayed 3 nights at this little b and b. Superb position with views of the Duomo. Our room was comfortable and bathroom very adequate. Breakfast is left in your room but comprises of enough to start your day. We met the owner who seemed a very nice lady and the lady who booked us in was very helpful. Florence is a very busy city and there was some late night noise from the street but it didn't disturb us too much. It really is value for money here and ideally situated for touring Florence.

charliig701on 23/07/2015 10:24My partner and I stayed (luckily) just for one night in B&B Piazza del Duomo, the location is perfect. It is walking distance from all attractions in Florence which was a big selling point for us, the Duomo (Cathedral) is a stone’s throw away, on the same street and accessible in about 50 paces. However the quality of sleep was absolutely terrible, I feel between us we managed a grand total of one hour all night. The room had no air conditioning, the temperature was 36 degree celsius, INSIDE!! The only way we were able to cool our body temperature down was soaking towels in cold water and laying these over us, it really was unbearable. THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL TRAVELLERS!! The room was very basic, which was home to a very uncomfortable bed, a tiny table and one chair with barely enough room to walk around the it. When we popped out from breakfast first thing in the morning leaving our belongings in the room before check out. We came back to find the cleaner had unlocked our door leaving it wide open while she hovered the corridor outside. It was only 10am, we were not required to check out for another hour! I felt this was a complete disgrace and from this moment were worried about the safety of our belongings, we very quickly checked out.

Elyane Ron 16/10/2014 15:23The breakfast was not generous but the service was very good. Very close to the duomo and a good location to start a visit in Florence by foot. It's a bit noisy if you let the window open, but nothing that trouble our sleep. Very safe place too.

Altough cheap, i think that it should be cheaper. Small rooms, only basic equiped and very noisy.
I did not feel safe during my stay, Very old building, dark, nobody around, no reception....
