A pleasant place to stay
Jean-Noelon 06/04/2016 19:26The B&B is in an old “palazzo” which has retained some style. It takes 5 minutes to walk from the station to reach the entrance on via Atenea, the main street of Agrigento.
There is no lift. The stairway is fairly long so you need to be fit and able bodied.
The owner welcomes you in the most friendly and true old fashioned Italian way. He is very helpful in telling you which bus to take or which restaurants to go to.
The room was perfectly fine for 2 people. The furniture is in keeping with the building. The bed is large with a firm mattress. There is a large wardrobe, a safe, desk, a tv and 2 chairs.
The bathroom is fine with shower, WC, bidet, sink, mirror and hair dryer. There are 2 stone columns making it classy and giving you the feeling you’re in a palace.
Both bedroom and bathroom are clean.
The central heating works at night so you wake up in a warm room. Important in March!
Breakfast is on the top floor (no lift). It’s a simple breakfast but absolutely fine.
Perfect location and good service
mesopediaon 17/08/2014 11:35Located in center of the historical area, it is a wise choice to stay here to look around the town and valley of temple. Considering the location, the room is quite and large enough. The breakfast room is located on top of the building, with a nice view from terrace. With fresh fruit and ready made brioche, the breakfast was very nice.
Wifi is available with good connection. You need to get the password at the time of check-in.
The master is a very kind person, I'm sure everyone will enjoy the stay here. I stayed in Agrigento 4 years ago, alone, and this time I have returned with my wife. Having good time on every stay here, without hesitation I will chose to stay here again if I have a chance to return.
Good venue and comfortable accommodation
Glenhalon 20/03/2013 00:02The room in the B&B was spotlessly clean and pleasantly spacious. Breakfast was good with fresh orange juice and decent coffee. Off-season price (80 Euro) is on the pricey end of the market but probably worth it.
Perfect Central Location
Jon Son 13/11/2012 21:30A little pricey at €90 per night, included a spartan breakfast, friendly owner, VERY clean and sweet smelling hotel. Comfortable beds, fresh linen. Best aspect is that it's right on the main 'promenading' street so you are put of the door and in the thick of it with good bars and restaurants
OK B&B
MMF1810on 20/05/2012 13:53We stayed one night at this B&B. Room was fine with a view onto a busy main street. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace and whilst the view is good, the breakfast was disappointing. We paid €100 per couple which was expensive compared to what we paid in Palermo, Cefalu, Catania and Syracuse for far better accommodation. The owner is very pleasant with little English so take your phrase book with you. Parking is at the railway station and costs €8.50 overnight. My recommendation would be to stay closer to the Valley of the Temples as Agrigento is not a pretty town.
