Pompeii holiday
Trakay63on 04/10/2016 13:07We stayed at B&B Welcome in Pompeii 23rd to 27th September. The name says it all. We were made very welcome indeed. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing with Rosarias home made cakes and jams. The owners insisted on driving is to the station to get the train to Sorrento. So helpful with trains and places to see and eat. We can't speak highly enough of this gorgeous little B&B. Your trip to Pompeii will be richer for staying here. Thank you for a lovely holiday. Camille and Tracey.
Amazing
Caoimhe Mon 18/09/2016 17:23Absolutely fabulous b and b, owner was the kindest person I had meet. She spared to expense or service and made sure we felt as welcome as possible. She even offered to pick us up from the train station so we wouldn't have to walk with all our bag.
Truly a fabulous stay
Hospitality you wont find in a hotel
esmeoconnellon 14/09/2016 10:40Stayed here last night and had such a perfect stay. We were welcomed with fresh coffee and a bottle of cold water which was badly needed as we had done a lot of driving!
Rosaria and Francesco and their family cannot do enough for you - so much information about Pompeii, the ruins and where to eat, they even leant us a guidebook in English so we didn't have to buy one.
The room was huge and clean and we were given the best restaurant recommendation - Garum (I highly recommend)
Breakfast was lovely with homemade jams and cakes all made by Rosaria in her kitchen.
You won't be disappointed with your stay at Welcome B&B Pompei!
Ps congratulations to Rosaria and the family on their new baby grandson
Lovely hotel in central location, very handy for Pompeii scavi and surrounding area.
purpletravlleron 11/07/2016 17:34We recently stayed here for 4 nights and couldn't recommend highly enough. We had a comfortable room with a large balcony. The bathroom was nice and the shower good. Really good air conditioning unit (which even has a silent setting for night time) which was well used given the temperatures outside. Secure parking is also available which is a bonus. The Pompeii archaeological site is only about 10 minutes walk from the hotel and the train station to Sorrento and Naples is also only about 10 minutes walk away. Would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.
the clue is in the name of B&B ;)
Monczakon 27/05/2016 20:57The B&B is run by a very nice couple, Rosaria and Francesco. The premises are nicely and tastefully decorated. Our room & bathroom was tidy, spacious and clean.
Nice kitchen/diner where the breakfast is served. As for breakfast, you get spoiled for choice. It is tradition that the breakfast in Italy is on the sweet side, but if you ask for savoury treats (cheese, salami etc.) you will be provided them as well. What makes it special, is that a lot of food on the table is home made by Rosaria – huge selection of very tasty jams, cakes, croissants, savoury pastry with cheese and ham (local speciality but we do not know what it was called). Everything we tried was delicious. Rosaria also makes a traditional coffee, which was definitely the best we’ve ever had!
The lovely hosts are also very keen to help and provide you with all sorts of information - the directions, where to go for dinner, how to make the most of exploring the area. Francesco was so kind, he gave us a lift to the main entrance to Ancient Pompei, to make our visit there more convenient and time efficient (you can also use nearest entrance/exit, which is not far away, but it is better to start at main entrance).
The B&B is located at the busy road, which light sleepers may find disturbing, but is in close distance to town centre and to Ancient Pompei Archaeological site, very close to the train station and that is certainly an advantage.
We booked by mistake a triple room, instead of a double (it was totally our fault), but Rosaria and Francesco encouraged us to contact booking.com to change it, so we could pay less. In fact they’ve contacted booking.com first, to inform we may wish to do ask for booking amendment and that they agree to that. It was so kind of them – they did not have to do this at all, as it was our fault. We’ve had amended the booking and did pay less. They also let us choose the room, so we picked the one with overlooking a patio, rather than the main street. This room has a smaller window, but it is much quieter. We’d advise the fussy sleepers to pick that one room.
If you travel by car, you do not need to worry about parking, as the parking space is secured for you.
Close distance to Pompei train station on Circumvesuviana line (~ 5min / 450 m).
Very warm welcome in Welcome, lovely stay and warm send-off (Including warm goodbye hugs from Rosaria! So sweet! Made us feel like visiting close relatives :)
