Quiet, cozy B&B by the lake
LinnLauvseton 21/10/2015 15:16The owner greeted me with a big smile when I arrived here, after having been in contact with her over email before I got to Ispra, where she answered all my questions and was of great assistance. Both her (Simona) and Giovanni speak excellent English, and are very helpful. Yet, they leave you to yourself and you have plenty of privacy. The B&B is located a bit of a walk from the center of town, but not too bad. Not all the street lights on the road there works, and therefore it was quite dark. I recommend bringing a small flashlight if you are to walk there after nightfall. The rooms are clean, and my room ("The Quiet Room") has its own little kitchen, in addition to an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen has a nice fridge, and there are sweet pastries, bread and jams, cereals and milk for breakfast. The rooms are in a basement with tile floors which are heated, and therefore it is comfortably warm there.
Excellent stay at a comfortable B&B
Elijah Pon 16/10/2015 12:28My wife and I had a great stay at this B&B. We were treated very warmly by the owner who went out of her way to help us solve an issue with our baggage. The owner speaks excellent English. We had stayed at an upscale nearby hotel previously but felt much more comfortable and welcome in this B & B. The view is also really nice outside of the house and the garden is beautiful. If you are interested in visiting Ispra, I give this accommodation my strongest recommendation.
Lovely location, Comfortable/Bright Room
650Karenon 14/04/2013 10:16This B&B, in the small town of Ispra on the shore of Lago Maggiore, is a lovely place to stay, with very friendly proprietors (who do speak excellent English). Ask for the “Room with a View” and a spectacular view (weather permitting!) it is. This room, while small, has an adjacent bathroom, and is light and airy with big picture windows looking out on the lake and garden of the property. The room has a lockable door leading to a small kitchen (which is shared with the other room for let downstairs). In the kitchen, you find ample breakfast supplies (coffee, tea, juice, water, bread for toast, fruit, etc.) and a great espresso machine and microwave. Internet is free and the connection is fast. Overall, a great place to stay
Great B&B with lake views
sabrinarosaon 21/01/2013 14:29I had a very comfortable stay at B&B Tana Della Volpe, conveniently located close to the JRC for those visiting. My room was clean, comfy, had a nice bathroom and had views on the lake. The kitchen area was shared with the room next door and was filled with items such as coffee, breakfast goodies and utensils. I recommend having a car for visiting the area. The owner is extremely nice and will go out of his way to help you be comfortable. In my case, he even gave me a ride to the pizzeria as I didn't have a car and arrived late without having had the chance to eat.
