Very nice place with excellent service.
Lars-Erik Mon 12/05/2017 15:04Our second stay in "Diamonds and rust" Quality of the appartment is very nice, and feels like it has som history to it. We loved that there was a small kitchen for making coffe etc. A few croissants available etc. There is an excellent pizzeria just across the street. The appartment has a very good location with a short walking distance to tons of great little restaurants and bars. A short ten minute walk to Campo di Fiori. Our hostess Lucia is very helpful and friendly. We are coming back.
Great little find
Phil Don 22/04/2017 20:07A very nice guesthouse that was ran by a small team of people, all very friendly, a very pleasant stay in the Trastevere area of Rome. Highly recommended. A very good location in a quiet part of town around many different amenities (restaurants, pharmacies, shops, ice cream places) and the room was basic, but contained all the essentials for a nice stay. The staff were very friendly and explained important things to us (i.e. How to work the coffee machine) and generally showed us around the house. As this place is on the top floor of a building it would be quite difficult to get large luggage up and down, and the walls were quite thin so we could hear talking and music in the other rooms occasionally whilst in our own room. Highly recommended for a stay in a quiet location near the centre of Rome.
Great value for the money. Great neighborhood
WantHomeon 22/04/2017 07:47Tough to find parking around. I suggest the garage on via delle Zoccolette.
The neighborhood is really cool with lot's of trendy restaurants and bar just outside the building. Walking distance to the main attractions in the town.
Room was ok.
Lite breakfast.
A charming place in an authentic Italian neighborhood!
Julie Jon 06/04/2017 02:30From the moment I booked my stay, Lucia contacted me to give me information and offer help for my travel! She wouldn't have been more helpful! When my flight was cancelled, she offered to let me stay an extra day to make up for the day I missed because of my cancelled flight! I wasn't expecting such generosity! But I learned it is reflective of the whole Trastevere neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for a more au genetic feeling for my first trip to Italy! Cobblestone walks and streets with lively piazzas around every corner. The two bottles of water everyday saved me money! Amazing restaurants around every corner. Everyone was helpful to someone who speaks little Italian. I walked to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon.
As for the room, it was plenty big and did not feel cramped. It came with a safe, so I could store my passport with ease of mind. It has a double bed made of two singles, so you could conceivably turn it into two singles for two friends traveling together. The B and B food is available all day. Some in my room fridge and some in the common area right outside my door, shared with 2 other rooms. Though I never saw them. I loved looking out the window and feeling like I was living in an old Italian village, which I was! Seeing rooftops of other building a stones throw away, even people's laundry hanging on ear porch. It all added to that feeling that I was really in Italy, bit just visiting another over commercialized vacation destination.
The stairs are steep, but it just adds to the charm. If you want to feel like your in an authentic part of Italy without the commercialism, this is your place!
Great Stay
Claire Hon 23/02/2017 18:20Had a lovely 3 night stay here in February. The b&b is in a great location close to loads of bars and restaurants all very reasonably priced. It's a short walk to the main "touristy" area of Rome with the main attractions. The room was very clean, with a small separate bathroom.
