Friendly, clean place to stay
maree777on 03/08/2017 14:40We enjoyed our stay here for five nights and would recommend it. The room was clean and was at the back so very quiet (not sure what those facing the street would be like). Heaps of room to spread out your stuff. Fridge to keep water etc. cold. Great sized bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast generous and delivered to the room. The staff at the desk were really helpful and friendly, but not intrusive. The two downsides were that the air conditioning was a bit old, noisy and not as effective as you would hope and secondly to get Wi-Fi in our room we had to stand in the area right by the door, which was annoying. The decor is a little faded and needs a refresh, but overall good value.
Great stay and inexpensive for the area!
Lauren Pon 23/07/2017 21:13I stayed in the Rafello room, the second room from the desk and it was fantastic! The AC/WiFi worked great, didn't have any noise from the neighbors, and it was in such a great location.
We came a little early so we left our bags and started exploring Roma. We visited the Trevi Fountain, the Pathenon, and some piazza's since they were all super close to the hotel. The next day we walked to the Colosseum and ancient Rome but we did take the Metro (super close to the hotel) to the Vatican. We also walked to/from Termini Station with our luggage without a problem.
There's great restaurants and shops surrounding the hotel making it a cute area even at night. The front gate of the hotel is super heavy and secure. Everything is locked up at night.
ROMA
Janet Con 21/07/2017 13:29Interesting to learn this building was used for Government during wartime. Better understanding of the HUGE extremely Solid Front door and the LOCKED wire gate immediately after it. INCREDIBLE location with ability to see all Rome offers within a few days. Stayed in a triple room which for the three of us,did not have enough space for luggage, but we shuffled things around and made due. The Huge balcony/terrace was open when we arrived, making the room very hot and we did notice ants in the room and bathroom that night, but thankfully none the next night. We were disappointed that there was only a bathtub but when you think of the age for the building,it's appropriate. Noise from above and outside was noticeable at times but not really a factor. Elevator is too small and slow, but the stairs are terrible when you are carrying luggage!! Wifi was annoyingly intermittent but occasionally quite strong? The breakfast was Fantastic and Alessandro and the Breakfast Lady went out of their way to accommodate us and helped make our First trip to Rome,THE BEST! Would recommend with understanding it is not handicap accessible.
Location, location, location.
Barbottaeon 18/07/2017 15:02Best location ever. We basically walked everywhere during our 4 day stay in Rome, even to the Vatican. No need for public transport. Our room was lovely. There was no bathroom lock haha. Breakfast was fairly small and based on sweet things - we ended up buying salami and storing it in the minibar overnight.
Step into European style with just enough updates.
437bjbon 26/06/2017 04:14The location walks everywhere easily. The interior style totally fulfilled our allure for
Old European style with pleasant updates to be very comfortable. I certainly hope to return to stay here again. Hello to all the staff and their kind helpful attitude. The dramatic European view outside our window is etched in our memory. The room was very quite for an excellent visit.
