Ideal location at O'Connell Street, next to the transport links for airport buses, and within walking distance to everything in Dublin. The staff was nice and very informative to all our questions. Would definitely use again.

More than happy to remain rational about peoples comments and experiences and booked Barrys hotel with an open mind and benefit of doubt... It has to be said they have managed effortlessly to demonstrate how not to run a Hotel, thoroughly indifferent to their customer expectation. When providing services to the public it has to be accepted that they will have an opinion, Barrys is delusional if it regards its VERY expensive services as a decent standard... small cold room in need of attention, with a badly modernised bathroom but im not getting into that blah blah!!.... It is often said you get what you pay for at Barrys you dont get anywhere near what you pay for , simply if you can avoid it there are some lovely stays in Dublin at cheaper cost.... But hey I paid so whos the mug!... thanks for an atrocious stay... I will, in future, book my luxury accommodation hahahhahhhaaaahhh!! more carefully in the future, good luck you need it.(as well as a full refurb)
Luxury accommodation it ain't!

When you enter the lobby the hotel is filled with charm and feels beautiful, warm, and welcoming. Staff are lovely. But it ends there. The rooms are old and dingy with terrible dirty green carpets. Lighting is very bad. The TV is tiny. The bathroom is tiny. There is no space to work if you're there in business. Bed is a lovely old brass bed, but bedding and mattress are horrid and uncomfortable. You can feel every spring. Everything is dinged-up and old looking. No amenities in the room that you'd normally find even in budget hotels (tea kettle, hair drier, etc.) Shower faucet is on backward so hot is actually cold. Nearly scalded my hands off. Very good hot water and water pressure, however. Looks like a new toilet which is a plus. It looks like someone started renovations, but gave up. Or they did it themselves. Breakfast was very good and free coffee/tea in the lobby was a plus. But, I'd say do yourself a favor and spend the extra €20 to stay somewhere else.
Poor vakue

Had to visit Dublin at short notice and ended up booking Barry’s hotel for two nights. Dingy place, and not at all suitable for a business trip (no trouser press or iron in the room, no tea making facilities either). No aircon, WiFi not working properly and even when it did it was too slow to be of any use. No lift. Shower didn’t work properly, carpet badly stained, tiny dingy room and minuscule bathroom. It was £90 a night which was extortionate.
stay somewhere else if you can

Sign outside states a luxury hotel, not in the least. Dirty, musty smell from nothing in the building being updated ever, with stains all over the carpets. All furniture looks like it was acquired through used donations. The wifi constantly goes in and out minute to minute, very frustrating. The front desk staff is quite unpleasant and not the least helpful. However, the housekeeping staff is very nice and professional.
