Provided cheap clean well located accomodation.arrived by train and Roma Street station is very close. Own room ensuite very good. facility of bag store good as it ment we could leave our kit before checkinin.

Serves the purpose of somewhere to sleep and beds were comfortable but room was extremely basic.
Sleeping in a 8 bed, mixed sex room there were only 2 electrical sockets in the bedroom and 2 in the bathroom which meant people were always waiting to charge phones etc.
No room for 8 people's luggage which meant when the room was full there was very little floor space left. Also, no where secure to keep valuables safe.
Cleaning was rare and infrequent. Cleaning done by other backpackers but simply just wasn't done if they didn't want to do it.
No simple amenities, hand soap in the bathroom, bedside lights etc. Also corridor music was loud and constant, even through the night which meant sleeping without earplugs would be difficult for light sleepers and there was no where quiet enough in the whole building of you needed to make a phone call.
If all you want is a bed for the night then this place is fine but you could probably get a nice private room through air bnb for the same price and have all the amenities this room didn't have.

Pros: Location was good, the staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: aircon was really bad, tiny room, very noisy, no lockers, smelt disgusting, only two plugs in the room, tiny kitchen and half the equipment doesn't work

Stayed here for my week in Brisbane. Fantastic facilities and events throughout the hostel. The staff have to have been the best I have come across after travelling through Australia these guys/girls really do make an effort to go the extra mile!

I booked for 2 nights and ended up staying 2 weeks. Staff were really helpful on front desk rooms where clean comfy beds and had a bathroom within (no walking miles to the shared toilets) fantastic experience meet some really great people that were also staying here and the bar next door have great games like music bingo and live bands good way to meet people when traveling solo.
Defiantly recommend this hostel if staying in Brisbane only a stone throw to the CBD.
