desi24on 16/08/2017 17:03Book this hotel as a cheap option to spend the night on the way to Amsterdam. Arrived late night and only stayed 1 night, but I can honestly say that this is a very nice basic hotel with everything you need. The room was clean, there was tea, coffee and water in the room. Toiletries were also available as well as a hair dryer. The parking is free and there is a security fence. The reception desk is 24 hours. The hotel is on the edges of the town with very easy access to the motorway. Breakfast was available at 14 euros per person which we gave it a miss. All in all will recommend.

We were greeted by the assistant manager who was very professional and gave us information about the hotel and the area. We asked for a quiet room, which we had! The downside is that to access the room from the elevator there are steps and double doors, that was a bit awkward to navigate with luggage.
The room was comfortable and clean and there is a restaurant downstairs.
Parking was inside a fenced area.

Excellent transport links into Utrecht and beyond.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, effortlessly switching into English upon hearing my voice.
I was made to feel welcome and valued.
I dined in the restaurant and had a perfectly cooked Rump steak with hash browns, chips and a sweetened cabbage salad. Lovely.

397matcon 09/07/2017 18:39The ‘hotel’ is surrounded by an electric fence. Seriously... an electric fence.
Think about that for a moment.
After staying there for two miserable nights I am convinced its purpose is to stop the guests from escaping.
First impression, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere on the outskirts of town , no local amenities and sandwiched between two busy noisy roads. the rooms are dirty and in need of a deep clean and the breakfast offer of a rather pale looking omelette is uninspiring.. if you make it as a far as breakfast that is.
On the fist night, woken by a fire alarm around 4am. There was no evacuation procedure in place, guest were left to their own devices as to where to go (or not)/ There was no roll call, no attempt made to wake up guests to evacuate the hotel. Appalling safety procedures. A woman and child tried to leave the hotel via the fire escape door and found it locked. The hotel staff appeared unconcerned - as if fire alarms in this hotel are a regular occurrence. ( “It’s a false alarm, it doesn’t matter if the door is locked...” )
The next night I slept fully clothed and my bag packed ready to leave at a moments notice.
Overal. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life.

fiveplusfamilyon 25/06/2017 17:00Fantastic bar at the top of the hotel with a stunning 360 degree view over the city of Utrecht. Tip: try to park under the hotel, don't be fooled to park at the Transferium Parking nearby, not clear how you can walk the short distance and even dangerous due to busy road.
