Lovely Hotel

I can't think of anything bad to say about this gem of a hotel, except perhaps that there was no air-con, which was rectified by the hotel providing a large fan without us even having to ask. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, had a good shower, free safe, hairdryer, comfortable beds, excellent WIFI and a decent sized fridge. The staff were lovely, a huge thanks to Tania for providing excellent local knowledge and suggesting places for us to eat. There's a supermarket, Rewe, just around the corner and the Old Town is approx 15-mins walk along the River Dussel.
Dusseldorf is an industrial city, therefore, the hop on hop off bus and Rhine cruise don't really show you that much. It's worth doing though and, the 260 bars are fun if you like the wonderful German beer.
It's so easy to get from the airport to the hotel. We got the bus, 721, that was located right outside the terminal doors and only 2.70 each, Travel Republic were charging 63!! Once you leave the bus bear right and it's an easy 5-10-minute stroll.
We took advantage of the great transport network and incorporated trips to Cologne and Bonn into our stay. Both cities were very pretty and interesting and not far away on the train. The station is opposite the bus stop so, very easy to find from the hotel.
When booking asking for a quiet room overlooking the courtyard as there's a bar next to the hotel. We didn't see any trouble, and I think it closed at 12, but it would have been a little noisy if your room was directly above it! ENJOY!!

Nice place to stay for cool days

This is a very clean and nice place to stay, but only for cooler days. There is absolutely no a/c and the room has only a tiny fan to cool you down. I could not sleep most of the night even though I tried cooling down by taking several cold showers. Also you fan, tv and fridge all use one outlet so you can only use one device at a time. For those two things I give a poor rating.

I am staying in this hotel every year with my colleagues
Its very clean and in perfect location
Workers are friendly
I recommend this hotel. So close the public transport by walking max 10 min
And so close to shopping street

Despite is old fashon looks, this hotel has nice rooms with clean furnitures. It is not big but that's ok for spending few minutes per day in it. There is also a fridge you can use if you want to store some bottles.
Breakfast is ok, not amazing but it is only 8€ which is a very decent price.
Around you there is the Central station, as well as plenty of restaurant like the best Ramen restaurant in Dusseldorf!
Wifi is not perfect but enough to check emails or read news on websites.

perfect location right on the U station, 10 minutes walk to city center.
the staff was super nice and helpful, went out of their way to help and guide us.
perfect triple room- spacious, clean, facilitated and good wifi.
breakfast was excellent!
in general we had an awesome stay, would absolutely recommend!!!
