Spent two nights here in a shared room, but we had an ensuite. The room was clean, great location, nice eatery next door, easy walking to tourist locations and main shopping areas. Be aware there is a nightclub that abuts the property, it caused me no loss of sleep, could hardly hear it, but some other locations in the property could be a problem. The reception was very friendly, with access being very easy via a swipe key.

Hotel is located in the centre of town, about 5-minute walk to shops, Cafes, Malls. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Staff are very friendly and always happy to help. Hotel is close to many attractions and walking distance to the wharf.

I stayed at this "Inn" recently as a solo traveller and stayed in a multi-bed (bunks) room. It was very very cheap (read backpacker rates) and it showed. The bunk was very rickety and broken, the shower was very temperamental and, for those that like to save others from the stench of their own business, NO PUBLIC TOILETS, only what is available in your own room. The kitchen downstairs is tiny to accommodate the morning/evening rush, and the lounge area has very worn, very sunken couches that were not very inviting. Parking during business hours will cost, or it's quite a walk to find free parking as the 4-5 available at the Inn were always full.
It wasn't ALL bad, the bar tables next to the window were a great spot for breakfast and there was a certain charm to the place; I took great joy in using the old luggage elevator. The mattress was fine and the receptionists were lovely.
There appears to be nicer rooms available at this place, sadly mine wasn't. There are better options for backpackers in Launceston for budget travellers.

Really impressive for a budget hotel. The room was big and the beds were really comfy. We were warned about a nightclub out the back and we didn't hear a sound. Will definitely be back for such a low price.

Spent 3d2n at this budget hotel and will definitely consider this hotel in the future.
A nice receptionist greeted me upon arrival and informed me that my room will be the one away from the nearby pub and I was so relieved. The room is spacious, albeit old. Heater was available. Supermarkets are nearby for quick groceries shopping.
